Maybe the YES portal doesn't use Verified By Visa service ?
*
Yea, that's most likely the reason.

EasyPay listed as mobile category in my may statement. So it should be getting CB.
*
I am also using Maxis EasyPay. Confirmed getting 10% cashback.

that's the catch.. the rebate will only be credited after 2 statement cycles no matter when is our statement date.. which means we might lose rebate for 2 months if we decide to terminate this card
*
then perhaps to stop using the card 2 months before terminating it?

u can call the CS to confirm
*
Everyone should call to confirm.

What happened to my case was, there was no category selected at all.
When I asked CS how could this happen, they also could not give me an answer.

So, to avoid all these unnecessary troubles, please call to confirm immediately when you received your card.

if your chosen category is grocery, you may buy your celcom top up from tesco or other grocery hypermarket.
*
buying grocery vouchers is the best idea, I would say.
New Year is coming soon, every household will spend more than usual, it's time to stock up now for January CNY shopping. smile.gif

Once a week for Petrol Swipe = 4 times
Once a week for Dining = 4 times
Twice a month for Grocery = 2 times

Is that too difficult ???
*
Totally logical and not difficult.
Easy for those with family. smile.gif

guys, scenario,

if my categories are mobile (default), petrol & departmental.
in the middle of the month, I want to purchase flight tickets.
so I call CS to switch departmental to travel category. paid RM10
then after purchased flight tickets, I call CS again to switch travel back to departmental. paid another RM10

so do I get rebate for doing this? or there's restriction per monthly switch only.
*
The answer is well stated in page 1, though. smile.gif

oops paiseh... thanks bro.

For each switch of cash back category, a one-time maintenance service fee of RM10 will be charged at the point of maintenance and it will be effective on the following calendar month.

so effective following month, which is next calendar month?
*
a.k.a. when the month in the calendar changed.

i think there is no such thing with upgrade / downgrade, they treat it as a new application. if qualify just use the Platinum for one year and cut. Then re-apply Gold thumbup.gif
*
I've tried.
No 'downgrade' allowed. 'Upgrade' ok.

My WISE card annual renewal to be due next month.

Wrote in via HLB Online to request for AF waiver but was told that it will not be waived. So, I have requested the card to be cancelled.

By default that's true.... we want to know if HLB will waive it or not.

Instruct the bank to cancel the card since it can't be waived.

And it's CANCELLED.

you can do this of course. but remember to only use it at the automated fuel dispenser. so just choose the petrol station with less staffs hanging around outside.
*
I am a bit skeptical at this.
My past experience told me, second attempts to use the same card at the same petrol station on the same day was flagged as stolen card and transaction will be declined straight away. That was Direct Access card back then.

If HLB allows that, I am concern about their security.

The card department called me up today. Asking if I would keep the card if they downgrade it from Platinum to Gold WISE, but the AF of RM160 is still required + RM50 GST.

I told them to proceed with the cancellation. Hahaha!

So, for those who are already on Gold WISE, be prepared.
