The right question is whether you feel richer working in Singapore or Malaysia?

Or even whether you feel richer in Malaysia when working in Singapore?

All I know is that I needed to take a 30 year loan to pay for a semi-d house in PJ when I was working in KL, assuming I don't get retrenched or sick during those 30 years. Factoring in salary increases, bonuses etc, I could probably pay off the loan in 20 years. And for the first 10+ years, it was going to be tight!

After working in Singapore for 8 years, buying that same house in PJ is now no longer an issue. Heck, can even buy the house next door and make it a bungalow.

Last few months surprisingly active, every week also got 2-4 gatherings for dinner, yumcha, drinks, etc. PM your photo and phone number to daikor MacKiddo and see if he willing to add you to the whatsapp group or not, that's where we spam and plan all our makan sessions.

The reason I asked is because there's much talk around me about "working in Singapore is better". Everyone blinded by the exchange rate and think they could land an above average pay in SG bcoz we are considered foreigners. Or with hopes of getting out of msia.

However, I have relatives and friends there. And I visit SG once a year. I see the problems an average sg-rians suffers and its obviously not a fairy land like most people think.

So I was wondering, do you guys really feel a major impact/ life changing experience compared to before? I said feel, bcoz there's no accurate measurement or comparison between 2 different living conditions.

I attended two interviews on last week... This company is full with Singaporean! Hear say, foreigner is easy to get bully by singaporean, if the company occupied 90% of singaporean! But, This job is more suitable me, just, a bit far, singaporean culture! Sometimes, I need to stay back until dunno what time!... Actually, I'm waiting for another europe Company feedback, they says couldn't finalize the result in short time of period! They will only feedback to me after 2 weeks... Coz they still hv candidate to interviews. Quite many malaysian working in this europe company!... My concern is how possible can I get PR if I hold S-Pass nowaday?

mind to share what do they suffer in particular?
honestly, i feel that majority of the singaporeans lived in a shell. all they do is complain how bad their life is without knowing that life in singapore is actually far better than a lot of countries.
moving from malaysia to singapore, i enjoyed my life quite a bit. there is more balance in how much you're earning and you're spending here.
rather than taking opinions from singaporeans only, you should ask how malaysians feel.

hi, may i know where is the best place to get affordable and reasonable furniture in singapore?

i would like to buy new bedframe and mattress for double bed one. May i know how much is the normal price which is around the market?

Thank you for your answer.
*
i bought a bed from furniture mart sg. cheap + quality as u pay for + free delivery + on time as scheduled + no hardsell + no excuses.

furnituremart.sg

cheap queen divan type will be around $200, king $300

for bedframe, actually a lot of cheap ikea bedframe going around for sale in gumtree or craiglist sg. you will need to arrange delivery, which many advert in those site also. prices start from $25 per delivery. but check for bed bugs first doh.gif

some already PR, some applied, some haven't , some din even bothered to be PR.

my point of view of not applying PR yet :
not much benefits anymore, even you are married and have children. just for the extra CPF contribution from co, which can only use for education or buying HDB. u take home pay lesser also.

samual
get a job first, work first then move on to other job then get PR. if you want to get PR right after getting job, you must be target to get P1 EP job whistling.gif
what is wrong about working in a 90% singaporean? better than 90% ah neh.

Singapore is not a fairy land, then how about malaysia? if you compare malaysia and singapore, which is better? for me, maybe i come from small town, so i feel SG better in term of working. In term of family and friends, i would say malaysia given that i work in my hometown, if i work outside of my hometown, the idea of staying a distance from family is the same. i asked my parent i can choose to work in SG or KL, they prefer me to go SG as it is safer and they noneed to worry so much. but this is just my 2 cent.
