QUOTE(ErieLee @ Jul 25 2015, 08:47 PM) Thank you for your reply !!! I followed another video instead of this 1. which is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7VUBSFy_esBecause I am living in Malaysia and the configuration in above video is base on my service provider Unifi. which I select PPPoE WAN connective type instead of Automatic IP (DHCP). Should I configure it again base on the youtube link you gave me? I followed the steps in the video I posted. Ppoe, tick the box at the bottom, select home unifi. I assume u used the id and password given to you by unifi for router, which u must call them to get, not the wifi ones. I do not know if it is different for maxis or others.

What happen to previously release firmware by Asus for RT-AC68U? The only available firmware now is back in March?
FW_RT_AC68U_30043786152 <- gone FW_RT_AC68U_30043786975 <- gone FW_RT_AC68U_30043784585 <- only left with this one

Hi coolguy, 1. 3.0.0.4.378.6065 is it for japan only or for every country? If the firmware got written for a specific country such as [For Japan Only], it is recommended you don't update it as it might be related to the security or policy for specific country or region. 2. how to setup ipv6 for unifi on asus router? As for IPv6 you can follow the image below to do the setup. Thank you Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Jul 23 2015, 08:18 PM) A little update on my case. As this is my first month with Unifi 10Mbps + N450 wifi, so its all new behaviour to me. I was on Unifi 5Mbps + N300 only last time. So, I turn the Asus router into AP only mode and reconnect my old Dlink DIR 825 (Openwrt) as primary router. Did all the same test and observe similar behaviour to Asus. The wifi speed is about 60-90 and it drop once high Internet loads kicks in. They ding dong there fighting for resources on my Dlink. I then tweak some settings on NAS and other stuff to simulate Unifi 5mbps and wifi 35-40Mbps (my usual speed on N300) and everything seems to settle down to the old behaviour. So I think I hit onto some kind of limit probably on the both router. No wonder this days the router has so much CPU power. But the weird thing is the CPU usage on both router seems to be low. So i wonder what limit i hit actually. Hi WhitE LighteR, Thank you for your update, I will have a test on my router see I where able to duplicate the problem or not and update you ASAP. Thank you

Hi there,
Just bought myself an ac68u and would like to use all the four ports at the back for normal LAN connection. I couldn't find the VLAN configuration in this router and the nearest configuration screen that I could find is in the IPTV tab. Currently I'm using MAXIS-Fiber as my ISP profile. What do I need to do to make the all four ports available? Should I select manual and using 621 for the port 3 & 4?

Hi ErieLee, In your first post, you mention your notebook WiFi got disconnected from the router for few second and connect back. 1) May I know is your other WiFi device will have this problem? 2) Do try fix a channel for the WiFi at Wireless->General->Control Channel 3) Try updating your WiFI card driver. Thank you

QUOTE(enson1985 @ Jul 25 2015, 05:28 PM) Just bought a ASUS RT-N14UHP router to replace my original router provided by Maxis. I have no problem connecting to the internet using LAN but Wifi seems like no working at all. Can't even connect through the wifi. Update to latest firmware. Please help!!! Hi enson1985, If you are using the same WiFI name, try forget/remove from your wireless profiles and add again or you can try other SSID/WiFi name. You can also try fix a channel on the router at Wireless->General->Control Channel. Thank you

As for IPv6 you can follow the image below to do the setup.Thank you Speaking of IPv6, the default MTU for IPv6 is 1492 and there is no way to change it from the admin control panel. The only way is by logging in via Telnet and entering the below: CODE echo 1420 > /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/br0/mtu The above code will change the MTU for IPv6 to 1420. Can this be feedback to the team to possibly allow MTU configuration for IPv6 in the control panel or at least the default MTU for IPv6 be lower like around 1420? Reason is that for IPv6, MTU of 1492 is just too high and will cause many weird issues especially with users complaining that after enabling IPv6, their internet seems slower and not so responsive.

Getting Started

|
Hi, Need an advice. My friend is staying in a 3-storey house. He complains that sometimes the wifi signal on the 3rd floor is unstable (intermittent connection). Other than adopting the homeplug solution, can you recommend an ASUS router that can cover the whole house ? Forgive me if this is question of mine is not in the right forum. Thank you.

Thank you Thanks. But after all said and done, I am still using the n18u as my router and AP. As long as I dont drive the network too hard, my daily usage so far didnt show any significant negative impact yet. So its ok for me. I did notice one thing tho. The QOS can only manage packet priority but not bandwidth sharing ratio. So sometimes when two pc downloading a file (port 80), the bandwidth is not equally distributed to both. Anyway, I've since move this QOS function out to another AP with DDWRT and connect the clients there (misc wifi devices). It works better there.

Hi asusmy,
i would like to setup my 3 story house with wifi ..
what is the best solution.
planning to get AC68U as main router placing at ground floor.
and then get N14UHP as AP mode on second floor.. (can this cover 2nd and 3rd floor with wifi)?
what do think of this solution?
