Not until MCMC approved 6Ghz band I guess tongue.gif

I am more interested in the ZenWiFi Pro though

Already can get 500Mbps on every corner with XT8. Doubt the ET8 gonna be a lot faster.

Technically signal penetration is slightly weaker on 6Ghz but the channel is cleaner so it will provide better speed + better stability.

To put it on layman terms, it's like 1 bar of 5Ghz is faster and more stable than 3 bar on 2.4Ghz.

We only have 2 non-overlapping 80Mhz channel on 5Ghz if we don't count the DFS channels. Not to mention that 160Mhz on 5Ghz is crippled as it will always involve DFS.

If we have access to all channels on 6Ghz, there're actually up to 14 non-overlapping channels for 80Mhz bandwidth, 7 for 160Mhz.

Yo, need advise here. My Lan port 3 is being allocated to VoiP and I am using Maxis Fibre. Question is, If i dont want the VoiP and I want the Lan 3 port to be the normal port (Same as port 1,2,4) how do I do it?

Using RT-AC66U_B1

ohh so 1 bar of 5Ghz is faster so how much getting Speed and more stable then 3 bar on 2.4Ghz

i did try 3 bar 2.4Ghz still can get 50mbps near 90mbps can hit 100mbps full speed i don't know

but 1 bar 2.4Ghz getting speed drop

using RT-AC68U

Hi x-frame,

If your ISP Profile at LAN->IPTV is Maxis Fiber, select manual setting on the ISP Profile and key in 621 on the Internet VID like the image shown below and then apply the setting. If you are using Maxis Fiber Special, change the value from 621 to 11.

Thank you

I only intend to buy one unit of Asus Wifi 6 router now.

Assuming I take dual band TUF5400 which has wider coverage.
My 2 unsolved questions.
Can I set it's Wi-Fi 2.4Ghz ONLY to compatibility mode to connect with my existing AC67u as node? Aim for the node to maintain WiFi speed...
AND at same time, keep its 5Ghz band in Wifi 6 mode? Aim to exploit the higher speed.

If I take triband Ax92U Instead, what difference to these two questions?

QUOTE(dustyoasis @ Oct 3 2021, 11:34 AM)
Let me clarify.. .

I'm using rt-ac67u twin pack, in a full wireless setup, on a 5000 sqft bungalow house with unifi 500mbps. I want to upgrade to a new router and keep these 2 units as nodes, still in a wireless setup.I placed router on ground floor,  connected to TV box via Ethernet.  On same floor, I have the node in a bedroom 10m away, it is connect to the box via Ethernet as well.

Intending to keep one ac67u as node on second floor,  I don't know which WiFi 6 model to choose? Is AX56U, AX92U , AX3000 or AX82U a better choice? Especially, considering the compatibility issue of Wi-Fi 6 router pairing with WiFi 5 node.

Can someone help explain the pro and con of these 4 models as the router?

because last time you use was maxis fibre you already request maxis to Public IP that you can connect asus ddns

now you changed digi fibre so you got Private IP that why you get error invalid IP Address due Private IP

you may try ask digi call request public ip if refuse then unable to do anything someone unable to get public ip for digi fibre

mine using unifi i wont change other maxis and digi and celcom lol due maxis very bad

so i will stay unifi so always stable unifi

AX86U also need to use fan eh? I thought it runs cooler than AC86U

I plan to get AX86U to complement my AC86U (with fan) and stumble upon your reply.
