Hi,
Is it possible to access my modem (connected to WAN port) from my RT-16. I remembered it was possible via DD-WRT on Linksys earlier. Appreciate any help.
TQ

Hi Asus,
I notice my RT-N16 nowadays always reset on its own after few days. I need to reset and reconfigure everything. Does this has something to do with the capacitor issue? I really tired of resetting the thing again..

QUOTE(izzudin @ Jan 31 2016, 10:24 AM) Yes just change the cap inside bcoz maybe it's already burst. I had that problem too with my rt-n16 wifi keeps on dropping n slowly degrading, opened it up and saw the cap already burst... went to the components store to buy the cap. You can change it yourself if u have the solder... Thanks! Will try to do that later once Im back home. QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Feb 2 2016, 09:51 AM) Hi vivre, Can you try updating the firmware to the latest and do a factory reset and see the problem still persist or not. http://www.asus.com/Networking/RTN16/HelpDesk_Download/And may I know where is this router are used? Home, cafe, bar or restaurant with many people? Thank you Yeap, I have tried to do that several times, including using the beta firmware, but the problem keep coming back.. I suspect it was the capasitor problem. Is it possible to send for repair, and how much it will cost? Yeap, the warranty already expired two years ago.

Hi Asus,
Just got myself AC88U. Is there any special step to configure the HyppTV? And which port is assigned to the IPTV?

Hi guys,
I just moved into new house, before this I was using AC88U for my apartment and it worked great. Moving to new location, I have purchased Lyra Trio with the intention to help improve the coverage and signal quality. However, I struggle to make this setup works.
My plan is to have single SSID, and using AC88U as the main node. I have laid Cat6 cable from various location to my AC88U location. Tried connecting them all (from LAN AC88U to all mesh’s LAN/WAN port) and still could t find’s them there. I looked up to several articles and made some amendment. It worked! BUT, the lyra seems to be on different SSID and also only the main Lyra can be connected to AC88U, and other nodes were relying on the 5GHz line. This is obviously not what I wanted earlier.. is it possible? Which port should I use to connect to the main router - LAN or WAN/LAN port at Lyra?
Help me ...

QUOTE(laksamana @ Aug 24 2020, 10:35 AM) For the mesh node to work in wired ethernet mode, the cable should be connected to the WAN port from the LAN port of the main router Thanks for the tips! QUOTE(ASUSmy @ Aug 24 2020, 10:36 AM) Hi vivre, Before setting up the Lyra, make sure all the Lyra Trio has been updated with latest firmware and factory reset the Lyra Trio once done. This is because older firmware version of Lyra Trio is not AiMesh supported. Put all the Lyra Trio near the main router(AC88U) and add them as node 1 by 1. Once done, move the Lyra Trio to the location you wanted and plug in the LAN cable to Lyra Trio WAN port. Thank you Done updating the firmware earlier and apparently still did not work. I even rolled back to Asuswrt firmware from Merlin, and Later I found out that only 4 lan ports are working at my AC88U, just purchased separate 16 ports switch to link them all and bingo, things worked fantastically. Managed to achieve full speedtest speed even at top floor. 👍👍 Just wondering whether u guys can accept the router for repair as the LAN port (5-8) seem kaput.
