I'm currently using AX11000 router, so far speed is good but it's seems there is currently stability issues with the connection my PC sometimes disconnect from Internet (using LAN cable connected to the router) and when that happen my Wifi seems become unstable dropped speed and slowly back up but not at full speed. This is my current log when this occured.

Hi ASUSmy,

would there be any new firmware coming for Asus Blue Cave? the past few firmware is making the Blue Cave not usable in a Aimesh environment. Keep dropping connection for 5 seconds and would reconnect in a slow speed. sad.gif

Hi whitex19,

Can you try updating the firmware to the latest and see the problem still persist or not.

Have you try using other LAN port or LAN cable to test the connection?

Update the LAN driver for your PC also.

Thank you

Hi ks1230,

May I know what are the router model that you used as node?

Make sure the AiMesh node are using the latest firmware also.
Can you try do a factory reset if you not yet do this before and redo the setup.

If the problem still happening, send a feedback to us using the router GUI and we will request RD to have a look on the problem you faced.

Thank you

Actually the Blue Cave is a node and a RT-AC88u is the main router. Both using the latest firmware and I did redo the setup more than 5 times.
I got a new RT-AC86U to replace the Blue Cave at the moment but would like to still use the Blue Cave as an additional node hence was wondering any new firmware is coming out anytime soon.

The new RT-AC86U and the RT-AC88U combo is working great hence the problem would be likely on the Blue Cave. hmm.gif

Try the following settings.

1) Force 5Ghz to channel 36
2) Add AiMesh node
3) Disable roaming assistant in wireless professional page after that

Hi there,

I've got a question here that google failed to answer (or I failed the keyword).
I'm on a RT-AC88U with factory firmware, is it possible to do port forward only when the traffic is coming from a specific IP? (Or a way to do that)
I wanted to open port but restrict its access, and for that port only.

Thanks!

Hi XXXOOOXXXOOO,

You may refer to the link below for the list of AiMesh supported models. And RT-AC55UHP is not AiMesh supported.

Hi uaehax0r,

You can set the specific IP at the Source IP if you want a specific IP to access the port.

Hi Asusmy, beside the WiFi issue reported. Today i noticed when I running 5 bittorents files simultaneously then router seems hang or disconnect - all my wifi devices unable to connect and my pc with wired connection also no internet access. It back to normal in 2 to 5 minutes.

What could be the issue? I'm running rt-ac68u with latest firmware.
*
Hi ASUSmy, the special firmware from you does not works for me as i still encounter above issue. I already tried download latest firmware for AC68U and still the same.

Obviously when running BT then the router will suddenly unstable - WIFI down (cant detect), wired connection appear no internet, then it will back to normal around 5 minutes.

FYI, I have more than 10 devices sometimes 17 connected (mostly thru WIFI 2.4 Ghz), could this be the issue? out of memory?

Avoid ASUSmy products for now
Their cockiness have gone through their head, they are not willing to admit that the RT-AX56U is problematic and refuses to pull it out of the market

Thank god I've made the switch to AmpliFi. No more ASUS for me
I used to be a strong supporter for ASUS routers, but no more after their ignored my plea

RT-AX56U is still being sold widely doh.gif

Hi KTCY,

The Lyra is already EOL, if you are looking for mesh system, you can have a look at the link below for the AiMesh Line-up.
