No point getting a degree. What u REALLY need is LWTR
That's if u REALLY just want to become an aircraft engineer

My SPM ok ok je biggrin.gif urs?
MIAT private. It is under UniKL which is under MARA so usually in terms of scholarship/fees no problem.
It's just that I've heard a lot of ppl saying its not worth getting a diploma since it actually have no effect whatsoever on our AME career.
We just have to try applying (n have luck on our side) the AK/MH lame program.
After all the only thing that matters it the LWTR.

mowkey,
u are correct, if u are saying that, 2 years ago. local airliners now demand diploma grads for their TAME program.

and true, LAME don't require u to have diploma, degree or whatever.

contradictory statement, right?

For MAS yes but AirAsia still allow SPM right? Or I'm wrong icon_question.gif
TAME program is usually 5years, right?

So that's 3 + 5 = 8yrs of studying before actually becoming an aircraft engineer is it?

but seriously, u aint need any math once u entered aviation as a serious part of ur life..all u need to do is to get ur physics in a good and full understanding in it..but no worries there, just expect tough competitions during the interview

u will get miat free education if u passed with flying colors, cgpa 3.5 and above..
no worries, as long as u passed all the exam which 75 and above, u hv nothing to worry about...no need to pay for the bond with mara

wanna ask something.

what is the difference between aircraft maintainence(avionic) and aircraft maintainence(composite)? in terms of what they study and what they do during work.
btw, both of this course is conducted in UniKL MIAT. what is the employment rate for MIAT grad?

Btw, which is better? doing aircraft maintainence diploma in MIAT, or aircraft maintainence diploma in Nilai International University College?

Added on March 29, 2008, 7:42 amhey, i've just come across "DIPLOMA BIDANG PENYENGGARAAN PESAWAT" offered by politeknik.

wanna ask. how good is the politeknik? what is the job opportunity for politeknik grad in aircraft maintainence diploma? is the diploma recognise by DCA? do MAS accept gad from poli. that's all. tanx in advance.'

ok. how is the study condition? are the lectures good?

btw, how is qualification and accreditation? what is the market value for student from politeknik? are they on the same level as MIAT grads?

that means that after we grad, we have to work for a while before actually getting the license? do DCA n LAN/MQA approved this program?

btw, this is my SPM result. will i be called for politeknik interview? anybody mind sharing their politeknik writing test & interview experience?

A1= BM,BI
A2= Sej, Pendidikan Islam, Math
B3= LK, TK, EST
B4= Chem
C5= Phy, Add Math

Erm.... I will tell you about the recognition for UniKL-MIAT:
1) This institution just got approval from DCA early this year (24 Jan) which I believe the only approved Maintenance Training Organization in this country currently
2) This institution also got award from Frost and Sullivan (which is an international consulting company) recently for the best Maintenance Training Organization through Asia Pacific that provide employee for its country. (The candidates for the award are from Asia Pacific countries MTO)

For the job opportunity would be student from UniKL-MIAT would be marketable.Tq.

P/S: Correct me if I am giving the wrong information.
