he joined? my god...dare not say that its a good thing, but i wish him all the best. Is he aiiming for technician or engineer or ect? Singapore Airlines requirement is always high, requiring a degree here and there. They won't take you even if you have a license but without a degree if I'm not mistaken.

If you are asking me, of course I would like to suggest you to study in MIAT because I am currently studying in MIAT. We got many experience lecturers in here like ex-LAE from MAS, ex-DCA officer, air force personnel and etc. I think it is a good place for low budget people (I mean people not from noble or rich family). However you are the one that should make the decision, so it depends on yourself. Tq. icon_rolleyes.gif

wanna ask. how good is the politeknik? what is the job opportunity for politeknik grad in aircraft maintainence diploma? is the diploma recognise by DCA? do MAS accept gad from poli. that's all. tanx in advance.'

ok. how is the study condition? are the lectures good?

btw, how is qualification and accreditation? what is the market value for student from politeknik? are they on the same level as MIAT grads?

that means that after we grad, we have to work for a while before actually getting the license? do DCA n LAN/MQA approved this program?

btw, this is my SPM result. will i be called for politeknik interview? anybody mind sharing their politeknik writing test & interview experience?

they learn more electric n electronic (dunno in detail)

composite,
u gonna learned how to manufacture a panel using fabric (fiberglass, kevlar, carbon) material + honeycomb (metal, can't remember other type)
sometime u'll be allowed to use prepreg, using hotbond process (miat have a small autoclave), very pricy material
u also learn how to repair a damage on composite material
and bla bla,
ur future company might be aerocomposite (ctrm) malacca, composite workshop of MAS, a company located at north of m'sia, forget the name, they manufactured parts for boeing and there's also a company going to be open in subang (ahaha, forget also the name)

employment rate
my batch, around 85-90% got job in aircraft maintenance field after 3 months graduated from miat
5% work in aviation related and a few more continue study at UK for EASA

miat, nilai college, poli
miat during my days, admin sux, instructors are the best
nowadays, i think a lot have been improved, got DCA approval (also quantity increase too... ahahahaha)
nilai and poli, i dunno, both are still new in MTO, so dun expect the best from them

after u grad
certainly u have to work to collect ur work schedule
then take exam at DCA and then take company aprroval
it's a very long way to go

math, physics, eng - that's the most important subject, i think laa

owh. i see.

heh. me want to got to poli because they were a LOT cheaper. rm260 for 1 semestar(including hostel). but have to undergo interview. heh. but it is my 2nd choice. i choose architecture as my 1st choice.

btw, is it required to go to DCA appproved school to take the license? heh, i'm asking for my fren who want to apply for this course. i'm really going for architecture.

Actually you can reduce the experience requirement to seat for the LWTR exam conducted by DCA if you study in Approved Maintenance Training Organization. That is the advantage of approved school.

Yup, there is a possiblity the polytechnic can get DCA approval but when? Who can tell about that?

simple ja...1st session aptitude test..then interview just need to know bout Bernoulli`s principles, how to tighten a bolt or screw( clockwise/ counterclockwise)..?, how aircraft can fly?...what type of aircraft u know...?why choose this prog...? question bout agama also got...rukun islam, rukun iman, doa qunut, doa iftitah, 4 rasul ulul azmi, but this was 6 years ago..hehe...maybe the question already different now..but i`m sure bout that Bernoulli`s principle..a mandatory question by the panel..good luck.. thumbup.gif

no one can be sure where they can end up..you can plan but do you think SIA gonna accept somone from nilai?...i know someone who was from TAFE and got into SIA...he left the company within a year...

i just got called from MIAT for tmorrow's interview. but the thing is, i left my physics long time ago already and now very scared to face the interview. how eh? how's the interview gonna be?

Pkul 8.00 pg...

ak arrive kt tingkat bawah pejabat Mara johor. masa tuh org yg interview blum dtg, so ak just lepak2 kt situ. nk skodeng awek pagi2 ari tuh mane ad awek. sume tgh syok membuta.


pkul 8.45pg...

ak masih lg bwat bodo kt tmpat menunggu. then ad mamat dtg. owh yes. akhirnya ak x kesepian. makin ramai mula dtg. keseluruhan ad dlm 30 org.


pkul 9.10pg...

interviewer dh smpai pastuh mula penuh kt situ ngan org. then kitorang diarahkan masuk dlm bilik mesyuarat. pastuh die mula bg taklimat. blablabla...


9.35 pg...

ujian brtulis pun bermula. basically, just mcm siklan objektif. tp cam gampang susahnye. well, x r susah mana, juz utk org yg dh dkt 5bulan x bukak buku jd otak lmbab sket. tp soklan die mmg memeningkan. ad soklan BI, math, n a little of physic, imaginary question(g ni x susah, tp bnyk amek masa). overall, ad 50 question. jawab dlm 30 minit. so, ak manage jawab dlm 30+ lbey soklan, yg lain ak mintak bantuan penembak xseberapa tepat.


10.05 pg...

ujian pun berakhir... dan ak mndengar carutan plbagai manusia berkenaan ujian tuh.


10.30 pg...

interview pun brmula. temuduga dijalankan secara brkumpulan. mybe dlm 2,3, atau 4 org satu kumpulan. tp tyme interview die x mintak korang bincang, die tny sorang2. tujuan die sbnarnye nk jimat masa.


12.50 tgh hari...

slpas layu menunggu nama dipanggil, akhirnya nme aku dlm grup last skali. pergh!!! masa tuh mmg dh mati pucuk ak. pucuk tu pokok kt umah. baru tnm dh mati. wahaha.

kitorang pun masuk, grup ak ad 3 org. so lpas bg salam, kitorang pun mula diinterview. first, die tny sorang2, "tell me about urself/introduce yourself". wahaha. bnda nih basic je. yg pnting speaking jaga r. ak bknnye fluent sgt. tp just relak sambel susun ayat dlm pale otak then ckp. jgn smpai errr.... arr....... hmm.....

pastuh die tny kt sorang2. knape plih MIAT. 2 org dlm mmber ak dpt jwb. tp dorang juz jawab sbb minat. so ak lead. ak ckp " the reason why I choose MIAT to pursue my tertiary education is because it is the best Aircraft maintenance school in Asia pasific, yes, in fact. MIAT just receive award "Asia Pacific Aviation Workforce Development of the Year Award" from Frost & Sullivan. so aku pun goreng. masa nih aku puji smpai kembang idung org yg interview. ak siap ckp management kt MIAT 1st class. wahaha.

then die tny lagi. ape itu ISS? grup ak skali lg xpat jwb. so ak lead lg. jawapannya ialah "International Space Station". the die tny plak sape org malaysia yg pegi sana and die pegi nek ape?. ala. korang sume msti tau. so simple je.

pastu die tny psl sains. die tny psl AC n DC current. pergh!!! masa nih ak mmg kantoi. die tny, lampu pakai ac atau dc. ak jwb dc. TETTT!!!!. jwpan anda salah, sbnarnye AC. pastu die tny source. ak ckp drpd generator. pastuh ok die ckp btul. then die tny plak source DC. ak ckp gak drpd generator yg mana arusnya telah lalu diode(rectifier). so far ok gak. die ckp jwapan ak btul. tp jwapan plg tepat ialah bateri. haha. tp korang kene igt, lain interviewer lain soklan.

then die tny ak. suka x malaysia. ak ckp r. " I like malaysia because I was born in malaysia, raised in malaysia, n many of my relative are in malaysia. pastuh die pun balas ckp " owh, I like malaysia too" .

tetibe die tny ak skolah mana. haha. ak ckp r ak skolah sains tuanku jaafar. pastu sorang lg interviewer nih pun join sama. rupa-rupanya, dua2 interviewer nih asal drpd pilah. die ckp. owh STJ tu yg kt simpang gentam kan. yg ad pasaraya aktif kan. then ak ckp " yes sir, that's my school". haha. die tny pasal bau getah. so, ak just jawab "owh, that foul smell have been gradually reduced because they only operate at night, and only sometime they operate in the noon. but the smell is not very bad, in fact, i'm kinda get use to the smell. it's like perfume to my nose". then ramai2 gelak. haha. sbb ak ckp fluent english, die puji ak. hehe. ak bkn nk menunjuk. tp kalo interview ckp kt ko "very good" maksudnya pluang korang ak rase cerah r.


1.25 pm...

it's the end of the interesting interview. we shake hands and say thank you to the interviewer. opppss!!! i almost forget, normally at the end of the interview, dun forget to ask them question if you have one. they'll be glad to answer ur question. ak pun balik pastuh.
