Wait a minute. Are you saying that we can opt to sit for the EASA license instead of the DCA's? But still, we can convert the EASA license right?

Do you actually know the difference between EASA license and DCA's LWTR?

For any type:
1. Know the systems. For engines from the engine build up right up to the systems.
2. Current ADs, SBs, SI on the engine. Know the latest issue of these documents.
3. Current defects.
4. ALL aplicable paperwork.. their usage and how to fill them up. Eg. Engine run up sheets. Trim run.. prop balancing, how to read the charts.. etc..

Make sure you know all the answers to the QA's guidelines.. wink.gif

Good luck dude! BTW, who's the QAI? tongue.gif

dca lwtr is our own license and easa cat b license is europe lisence iits basically the same but due to some sort of requirement and law our license is not on par with those easa lisence thus they dont recognize us . as for easa license it is very acceptable in our country need to convert first at dca for issuance of dca lwtr ( i think need to attend air legislation exem only ) .

simple math dca = malaysia and some country easa = world (mawi world)

too jazzy

aiyaa need to study more i think hmm i think mr ralf augustine is my qa recently a frend taking pw125 f50 kene with him

kabadi,
you can always see Ralf (its Ralph, I think) and ask him what is his expectations. It is a known fact that MAS's QA orals are even tougher than DCA's.. Getting an approval especially initial is like asking for a life... tongue.gif

So i was right in saying that we can convert the EASA license to DCA's LWTR. Meaning that DCA recognizes the EASA license to be used in Malaysia but the catch is to sit for our Malaysian air legislation paper.

Thanks for clarifying that for me. smile.gif

avionics is aircraft electronics, so you have to deal with all the electronic systems.
so most of the time you will be stay inside the aircraft.
and the most important thing is that it doesn't require 'brute' force to do the job.

my instructors keep on telling me B2(Avionics) will have less job to do, so less OT and less salary.
while most of the maintenance tasks are done by B1(Mechanical/Airframe).
so he say avionics got no future which i don't quite agree as the avionics system on the future generation aircraft is getting more complex.

correct me if i'm wrong.
i just started my career as TLAE in SG, still a newbie in a/c maintenance.

With the use of fly-by-wire systems nowadays, I believe the importance of avionics has increased tremendously for the past 20 years.

For SG, it's SGD200 difference between degree and diploma holder.
I heard that there is no training program for degree holder in msia.(MAS taking students with SPM qualification)

the prospect is looking good in the future.
for now, everywhere in the world is looking for LAE.
especially in Dubai, their salary is freakin high.
with the license, you can migrate to anywhere you want.
in most of country immigration department, you have higher value than other professional with the same salary.

I just started my on job training, my Avionics colleague seems like got nothing much to do.
they are worried with no job in the future.
