Did you check SriComputer? Seems that is all they have y580 with blueray drive. Quite pointless cause I've not use a disc (cd/dvd/blueray etc) with a computer for the past few years.

yup, won't be as fast as real SSD as most data will still be pulled out from HDD... in some occasion, it will be faster, some will not...

how to run in 1 gpu on dota 2?

Hm, any Y580 users here that's playing a lot of Dota2? Just encounter some minor issue after playing around 3 hours of Dota2, i saw the background(the burning fire) behind the main page will be lagging and when i type some msg also will see some lag with the time i type and the time the msg appear on screen... Weird that just right before that page, i was in game and there's no apparent lag at all...

FYI, that would be about RM 370-450.

yup. happens to me too.
Played for few continuous hour then the main menu will start to lag.
but when in game no lag.

need restart dota 2 to fix the issue.

Mind asking, if i buy a y500 only with 650m Gt, if i wanna buy the other half, how much would it cost? and where to buy that separate graphic card? any idea?

Why would you bother to buy it without second GPU?
All local set comes with second GPU in package, unless you are getting the imported set.
Don't ever get the imported set unless you want to go through hassles in future for warranty issue.

And we're using PC. It's the client's issue, no problems with your laptops.

hmmm. cause currently im still out of budget to get a 2nd gpu, since a single gpu cost up to RM 2700 ( 16 gb ssd + blueray) , was planning to trade in the blue ray and top up for the 2nd gpu.
I heard US set , some are faulty unit?

my opinion, it's better to get Y580 if you can find one rather than getting Y500 US unit if you're tight on budget... it's not advisable to get US unit... you'll face problem if you ever need the warranty... and given the current circumstances, it seems to be you'll need the warranty...

if you still want the Y500, just grab Malaysian unit... spend extra for extra peace of mind...

Okay, thanks for the advise. Maybe after CNY or 1st quarter. Price will drop. or maybe pc fair i only go buy. Not really in the hurry to get yet. Currently im using dell XPS.
