Just in case, dun wan later i got some funny RAM which later cause blue screen...
And i was browsing through some Alienware laptop and i saw the screen stated is LCD instead of LED... for this Y580 is LED right?

Hm, didn't go do research on this so didn't quite know what's the variety there are in the market... So for a regular desktop monitor which say LED also is just LED backlight LCD?

Anyone can confirm that the Y580 is using Intel HM76 chipset? I read it somewhere but forgot where... =P

If international warranty then should be okay but for the warranty extension I don't think you cannot do it locally. Alternatively, you can extend the warranty online via the Lenovo US webpage...

2. Correct. As the port for the original HDD is SATA3, you need to put your SSD there so that you can utilize the max performance, while moving your HDD to the ODD which is only SATA2 but it's more than enough to sustain the performance of an ordinary HDD.
3. Normally yes for Malaysian market pricing, but you can get equal value of mSATA unit for the equal capacity of a 2.5" SSD at Newegg. But do note that the mSATA for Y580 is only supported until SATA2 speed so this might be a bottleneck for the new SATA3 mSATA model.

Logically, as you said it's already warm under normal operation, for sure it will be even warmer if you OCed it. As for how high will the temperature shoots, you have to go Google or ask around see if any of the owners here did actually OCed their unit... I believe without OC i read highest temperature for GPU is around 90?

Ordered the laptop 1st and then SSD but end up with the SSD arriving 1st...

Just do some testing in case i got any DOA item...

Seems that the performance got capped by the SATA2 port that I'm using, will have to wait till my Y580 comes then only can test for the true performance...
