Anyone done sound insulation on the Preve using STP products, especially the engine bonnet?? How is the noise improvement?
Proton Prevé V16, I'm proven. Et vous?

QUOTE(allenultra @ Dec 6 2012, 12:21 AM) By using present value calculation with the current inflation rate, rebate is the way to go. My ride also got 5500 rebate RM5500 is impressive, never see such offer before. They selling below margin, throw more than they making. This is weird Its normal to have rattling noise in Preve. Visit your nearest service centre, they can minimise the rattling noise. Join Prevoc FB https://www.facebook.com/groups/preveownersclub/ Engine mounting MOD + turbo pressure hose mod aka german sausages will improve your driving experience. I joined the facebook group 2 months ago, Comparing with my vios 2003 ,NVH is alot worst especially noise from engine, my vios no rattling noise for 9 years But anyway the handling is quite good compare my old vios (installed UR Bar and sport absorber). The thing most amaze me is the Accelerate This post has been edited by JAYworm: Dec 6 2012, 11:01 AM |

After one month of driving the preve, move from stop to start is slow, CVT issue? but can't really feel it happening on Inspira which is also using CVT, not comparing the engine capacity, the Preve need to wait for awhile before pressing the fuel pedal, whereas I don't feel that in Inspira, how come?Fuel consumption - comparable to my 2.0l car..especially these few days, jam like hell, fuel consumption is above average..(due to its weight maybe) (solution -start work early and wait until no jam then go home NVH - i guess all of you already experience the noises, especially from the honda cub and express bus.., ratlling noise, front and rear dashboard(allenultra said it is normal for preve), tyre noise especially at the rear passenger side... (solution - going for STP soundproof if really cannot tahan) Seat - hard and uncomfortable...(diy - put extra cushion in the car Good points - Door close very solid Car very stable at high speed Since I am driving the Exec CVT - acceleration is definitely not there This post has been edited by ryuken74: Dec 6 2012, 11:34 AM |

Recently got noise at the back. 1) check back seat flip up and down when moving is nothing wrong 2) check spare tyre area if any loosen screw, part, etc but everything ok 3) check double thin rod below the speaker is also ok. So, the sound is comming from inside the center of rear deck/dash. Oh no.... no idea what to do again. Do enyone know how to solve or at least know what is stupid thing inside the deck? |

But, did u mean the speaker mounting board is the large plastic dash cover the speaker? That thing i dont know how to open cause toooooo tight, even have removed 3 pin screw also cannot peel out:x any idea how to take out this thing? 1) Your car's speaker mounting board. 2) Rear 3rd brake mounting. Not trust acc shop & sc due to poor workmanship, prefer DIY... |

If possible, perform turbo hose mod with cable ties aka german sausages. Engine mounting mod with fuel line hose too. Speedometer instrument panel and rear speaker board rattling sound can be solved at service centre. Join Prevoc @ FB for more info. |

Hi,
When the key is kept in the pocket, the buttons on them sometimes get accidentally pressed as they're slightly above the surface resulting in the alarm ringing or the doors unlocking which can be risky. Does anyone else experience this as well? Is there any key cover that can help to resolve this. The only prob with key cover for CFE I guess will be that you need to take it off from the cover when wanna start the engine. Thanks for any advise.
