Morning Preveians smile.gif

Thread seems to move quite slow lately...

Anyone done sound insulation on the Preve using STP products, especially the engine bonnet?? How is the noise improvement?

By using present value calculation with the current inflation rate, rebate is the way to go.

RM5500 is impressive, never see such offer before. They selling below margin, throw more than they making. This is weird

Its normal to have rattling noise in Preve.  whistling.gif

Visit your nearest service centre, they can minimise the rattling noise.

Engine mounting MOD + turbo pressure hose mod aka german sausages will improve your driving experience.
My ride also got 5500 rebate rclxms.gif thats why im quick grab for it.
I joined the facebook group 2 months ago, tongue.gif saw alot diy from u guys, and wondering where to get the hose? Normal water hose cannot right? Cause cannot stand for the tempreture isnt is?
Comparing with my vios 2003 ,NVH is alot worst especially noise from engine, my vios no rattling noise for 9 years unsure.gif i checked the engine mounting and the vibration is scary sweat.gif seat not as comfort as vios, preve seat too hard.... Even i saw alot complain from u guys, and i know these existing problem but i still hope for get a "less problem unit" tongue.gif Gear changing not as smooth as old 4 speed auto gerabox rclxub.gif

But anyway the handling is quite good compare my old vios (installed UR Bar and sport absorber). The thing most amaze me is the Accelerate thumbup.gif the acceleration on par with volkswagen polo tsi thumbup.gif alot ppl said that do not exceed 3k rpm during burn in period, but i cant resists the power of preve brows.gif

agreed...I do not know how they did the review saying the NVH is good! After one month of driving the preve, move from stop to start is slow, CVT issue? but can't really feel it happening on Inspira which is also using CVT, not comparing the engine capacity, the Preve need to wait for awhile before pressing the fuel pedal, whereas I don't feel that in Inspira, how come?

Fuel consumption - comparable to my 2.0l car..especially these few days, jam like hell, fuel consumption is above average..(due to its weight maybe) (solution -start work early and wait until no jam then go home tongue.gif)
NVH - i guess all of you already experience the noises, especially from the honda cub and express bus.., ratlling noise, front and rear dashboard(allenultra said it is normal for preve), tyre noise especially at the rear passenger side... (solution - going for STP soundproof if really cannot tahan)
Seat - hard and uncomfortable...(diy - put extra cushion in the car tongue.gif)

Good points - Door close very solid smile.gif
Car very stable at high speed

Since I am driving the Exec CVT - acceleration is definitely not there tongue.gif drive like an old unker now, slow and steady sweat.gif

icon_question.gif Helpppp, posting this in fb but no one interested to reply, so I post here.

Recently got noise at the back.

1) check back seat flip up and down when moving is nothing wrong
2) check spare tyre area if any loosen screw, part, etc but everything ok
3) check double thin rod below the speaker is also ok.

So, the sound is comming from inside the center of rear deck/dash. Oh no.... no idea what to do again. Do enyone know how to solve or at least know what is stupid thing inside the deck? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Call the number but they say only 2K rebate? rclxub.gif

Is the 5500 rebate is not official from Proton but based on showroom/sales person?

Soft throttle still smooth, deep throttle will cause jerky and vibration sweat.gif

Someone mentioned before that there's 2 things left that might cause the sound bro:

1) Your car's speaker mounting board.
2) Rear 3rd brake mounting.

Have u checked those 2?

2K is the official rebate given by Proton themselves. More than that is up to the SA's discretion bro

I bet its cause by car weight and not the cvt gearbox, 1600cc pushing a 1300kg car is reluctantly sweat.gif need to rev to 1500-2000 rpm to make it move, below 1500 rpm the car move too slow or the car jerky when above 2000 rpm.

Fuel comsuption - 2.0 car normally have 1 litre/ 10km, i saw most preve owner getting this figures, luckilly i didnt sell my vios, working day drive vios and preve as weekend car thumbup.gif

NVH - i guess noise can be lower down if i managed to settle the engine mounting problem, the vibration cause alot noise. My 2nd tires will be continental CC5 as it working very well on my vios. The rear dashbord is nightmare for me rclxub.gif but car roof sound proof is better than vios when raining.

Good point - exterior car build quite solid, doors, bonnet, truck.
Car abit harsh at low speed, but stable at high speed.
Acceleration very well, nvr feel any underpower at slope.
Alot feature, im amaze with the gps, good sound system cool.gif

Still not regret getting preve as my second car, after get rid the problem prve definately a great car thumbup.gif

Good sound system?? shocking.gif shocking.gif

Try the latest ECU/TCU mapping, and report to us your finding.
If possible, perform turbo hose mod with cable ties aka german sausages.
Engine mounting mod with fuel line hose too.

Speedometer instrument panel and rear speaker board rattling sound can be solved at service centre. Join Prevoc @ FB for more info.

Is the sound system in Preve not good? For me it is good enough. I generally listen to orchestral music and instrumentals. Default settings is rather bland but after adjusting the treble and bass I find it sounds good enough.

Hi,
When the key is kept in the pocket, the buttons on them sometimes get accidentally pressed as they're slightly above the surface resulting in the alarm ringing or the doors unlocking which can be risky. Does anyone else experience this as well? Is there any key cover that can help to resolve this.
The only prob with key cover for CFE I guess will be that you need to take it off from the cover when wanna start the engine. Thanks for any advise.

Hi guys,

im looking at Preve CVT exec as first choice for my first car right now.

is there any problems or odd procedures i should look out for?

how much is the down payment required.

there this fresh graduate loan from potong for fresh graduates with 3% Annual interests. is it worth it?

should i wait until after GE before purchasing it?
