Good Morning Fellow Preveians! thumbup.gif

Haapy Flying Friday Btw. rclxm9.gif So busy the whole week and now V16 edy. Congrats Marquis, the new TS!

Love all the sarcasm guys. laugh.gif Cannot stand from laughing alone in my office.

Heard a lot of good feedback from u guys who has done the ECU/TCU remap. Other than Allen's who's managed to drive the car on a long range trip where the top speed is capped at 150-160 only. Well that's one thing is what mak me stop & think again whether should I update it or not. But like Maverick said, his FC is already good but when he drove kiapreve's car the diff is there, damn it's so tempting..

Anyhow, quick update, done 3rd service (10k) at Semambu's Proton SC (cost RM210). Been here 2nd time edy after Doctor AGF recommended me here few months ago (Thanks Doc. They also have that free-flow hot drinks for you there..)

- I don't think they have updated my ECU/TCU as my car still the same
- Tried to have me installed the magnetrap, which i sternly refused
- They know of the exhaust bracket rust. They didn't have it cleaned with sand paper first. Instead they applied the black paint directly on top of it. A poor workmanship IMO
- Submit the car at 2.10PM, got the car back 6.00PM. Almost 4 hours. When collecting the car the SA explained that my car are in the list of Proton's call back to replace the power window. Changed all except for driver's side since they have run out of stock. Will call me again when they have it.

Just my 2 cents, if it is in P2 SC, after collecting the car key from the owner, then went for the initial checking of the car, the SA will come and inform u first that they will need to change the power window bla bla bla thus you will need to wait a bit longer... But here they kept it silent. I've been wondering what were they doing with my car during that time but got nobody to ask in the office! This one old habit need to be thrown down the toilet edy laa.. Haiyya..

BTW, still loving my car. After almost sharp 6 months of using it, latest full tank (yesterday) still 754km can go. Used to have 8.6l/100km when being driven in Terengganu but after 3 months in KL it just went up to 10.00l/100km thumbup.gif

How much is the magnetrap and what are the pros and cons?  blush.gif
*
Well they quoted me RM60 for it. In term of pros & cons, got not so much of a comment since I'm noob in this matter as well. But it has been debated few thread's back about whether it will actually works or not. IMHO, I'll wait a bit more until let say 20k then maybe I'll add it.

QUOTE(arthur88 @ Nov 16 2012, 10:12 AM)
i also started to love it also, cause quite boring here when nothing to chat about...
well, so far only allen report the problem.
bro, do u able to go to the service area instead of sitting in waiting room?
its best to go to the service area...observe what they do...
*
Hahaha.. LOL! U say u will be MIA too but instead I saw u're here chatting with these guys. Aren't u supposed to be next TS? icon_idea.gif

I think can but saw none of the customer went there so I decided not to go. I wish I did though. The waiting area is kinda comfy at least for me but u got no visibility of the outside. BTW, got an experience with PJ Volcar (I believe its PE SC) in Seapark, PJ where the waiting room is at the centre of the service bay. I mean u'll need to walk through the service bay before u can enter into the waiting room. The mechanic there seems like doesn't even know about the ECU/TCU remap but instead kep on telling me to have the car serviced despite my ODO is just 9468 at that time.. If I got my car serviced there I may be able to ask them something.

in my opinion, SA wont know anything/any update unless the technican told them...cause those SA not involve in repairing cars...
when i goto eon sungai pinang, those technicians seems like they know what i want to do there ady...
probably famous among them that "this fat guy always know about the internal buletin that havent release out to customer yet"
this i have to thank allen... rclxm9.gif
*
Damn... sweat.gif Wei, u're a state rep. U should've shown a good example to the rest of us here laa.. LOL! tongue.gif See Allen here? He did his part. When will u do yours..? icon_idea.gif

LOL! I'm still playing the Mr.Nice Guy. If the correct time come, that Service Bulletin would be my ace up in my sleeve.. Hehehe

Oh and yes, thank you allen!

Reading ur post all these while sometimes makes me wonder, hmm.gif

- How tall are u?
- How is ur physique?
- Have u exercised or not?
- How is ur eating habits? Have u taken enough vitamins and vegetables?

Kept on saying Kelisa is the best for you and what not, power steering should be there to lessen the strain.. As if you r not that fit to swing a conti-felt steering? whistling.gif

Is there any car maker out there who made the background colour of the meter panel to be changeable to a number of colours instead of one? I mean when u're bore u can just press a button to switch colour? hmm.gif That would be something..

So far pigduck has been reasonable la, I spent a whole hour or so last night "talking" to him laugh.gif Even after he trashed my lovely ex-car Saga  vmad.gif

Pigduck, personally I don't think Preve is suitable for you. If you expect something easy to drive like the Myvi, you won't get it with the Preve. Coming from a Waja and Vios, I had to change my driving style when I got my Saga, then change again when I got the Fiesta.

Myvi is the closest you will get to a Kelisa without sacrificing safety (Kelisa is not that safe to begin with, mind you...): small car, zippy and easy to manuever in urban conditions, but you will lose the go kart handling of the Kelisa at high speed.
*
I know that Dares bro. biggrin.gif Read all ur lovely chat with him before jumped in today.. Yup, he trashed it pretty bad too, Maybe he didn't read about it in ur blog, "The Good, The Great, and the Awesome" part of that Saga FLX.

I've been meaning to say something about the zippy-ness of Kelisa though.. Its been a long time edy I wonder to myself why, as thru my personal experience I've met at least 5 ppl who drove Kelisa in this world, be it a teacher, a pregnant woman, a U student, or anybody. All those 5 drove their Kelisa like crazy.. Now I think I finally understand it.. That it is because of its zippy-ness that make it so agile where the driver can drive like nobody's business regardless of where u're driving it at the moment. Be it just out of parking, or out of basement, or in Hospital compound or on a remote village road.. Damn most of them drive like there's no tomorrow.. sweat.gif

Agreed with u nonetheless. Pigduck, just click on Area51SE's siggy if u see him later to find your way there. Happy reading. thumbup.gif

Btw, anyone know which SC already has the latest ECU/TCU to update except the COSE? Thanks.

Forgot to comment before wewanwang bro

Kinda frustrated to hear that Setapak 3S centre didn't have the new TCU/ECU remap yet. BTW, has the Allignment machine been installed there when u went there few days ago? It's been 1/2 year edy.

Hmm.. So can I conclude that Puchong SC is nothing to brag about?

BTW, I've thought the headlamp setting is standard like that. So it can be adjusted..

And why didn't they change ur power window? Mine was automatically changed during last 10k service

I actually whack 160km/h even before 1st service.

After 1st service, engine will be smoother, more refined, less "grinding" sound. Again that was b4 the ECU/TCU mapping.

With new ECU/TCU mapping, engine mounting fuel line hose MOD, turbo pressure house cable ties mod, the driving experience is seriously good NOW
