QUOTE(young_soul @ Apr 27 2006, 10:05 AM) we all know SF's waist guns are shorter than Freedom. What I'm comparing is the waist guns on h3's modified SF and the standard one that comes with BanDai. yeahyeah i get wat u mean. im saying that it belongs to freedom. if u look at freedom's its actually similar. like i said, just chopped in half. oh, and did u notice that it can be swivelled behind? o.O!!something like this ![]() it can be seen clearly that h3's SF waist weapons are either taken from somewhere (highly improbable) or custom made |

Hopefully will be able to join u guys soon.. if u browse around www.hlj.com u will see each model has a specs indicated whether painting is mandatory and skill level required. For starters, most MG doesn't need painting. Of course u need to enjoy the process of model making so grab yourself some panel markers and touch up the kit yourself. Most people paint job on their PG which is really cool if properly done but for starters, an MG will non-painted is good enough. It won't hurt to paint later when you learn more details and technique with each new kit |

QUOTE(dj898 @ Apr 27 2006, 12:27 PM) in terms of marketing as far as Bandai is concerned Seed/Destiny was total flop. GSD models was a flop becoz the series was shit. Not forgeting how horrible the proportions for the newer models (both 1/100 and 1/144) were, especially the SF and the upcoming IJ. And who could have tolerated the endless versions of ZAKUs?you may not agree but they only sold fair number of DVD but just not enough plastic kits to warrant the success. After all if Gundam line doesn't move the plastic kits then that line is considered to be a failure. also many people who grown up watching the original Gundam are now in their 30/40 with disposable income and they are the driving force behind the Gundam sales in Japan hence why you will always see Bandai keep releasing the more expensive line ups in first/zeta Gundam era... now in twenty years time when the people who grown up watching seed are in 30/40 we will see Bandai Namco releasing stacks of Seed MG/PG line ups - maybe... As for the debate between 1/100 and 1/144, I'd still go for 1/100. 1/144 is simply too small, and lacks adequate detail. Well, there are 1/100s which like someone mentioned, are just smooth plates with panel lines around the margin; 1/144 has the same problem. But 1/144 is simply too small for my liking, personal preference i suppose. meanwhile, from the lineart it seems that the design of 1/100 IJ is slightly similar to Astray Outframe's style. Note the large torso and the slim long legs. And well, well, they had intended to make the flightpack's cannon large as hell, which is clearly not the design in the anime. I still think it's ugly. http://www.arabuploads.com/photos/45987561.jpg http://www.emlong.com/bbs/images/upfile/2006425205216.jpg http://www.emlong.com/bbs/images/upfile/2006425205234.jpg This post has been edited by StarGhazzer: Apr 28 2006, 10:11 AM |

Maybe only the tip of the gun...but if you look at dalong.net's Freedom MG, it isn't even the same. I have the Freedom MG here and I can see the difference...that one is purely custom made btw...long ago can "swive" the weapon to the back ler QUOTE(StarGhazzer @ Apr 28 2006, 09:52 AM) meanwhile, from the lineart it seems that the design of 1/100 IJ is slightly similar to Astray Outframe's style. Guess what I found on June's Dengeki Hobby Magazine?
![]() Oh god no! It looks hideously out of proportion! Legs are too thin, shield too large, torso too wide, the canon barrels for the backpack are too thick, gun too comically long and thin, and there's an odd spacing on the front skirt armor... D: |

some of you may remember my PG AEUG Mk-II with heavy shadow...
well I finally repainted it in Titanz colour and tried the washing using the light grey for the panel line. Well with dark blue colour you cannot use the black line and easiest way to achieve the panel lining is by using the washing with light grey. Before washing I basically pull apart everything and spray inside and out while some parts I stripped the painting or what little they have. and I salvage some parts off mate's junk PG Mk-II Titanz kit to make up couple of parts I broke or gotten too weak after stripping well enough word, here are the pictures of three modules ready for assembly... Except that I broke one of pin at the waste so till it's cured I could not put it back together... Torso Legs Backpack Shield and beam rifle are the next. As I using the old kit I didn't bother to fix the seam line issue with rifle though next time I build PG Mk-II I definately going to do proper job plus full inner metal fram painting... |

Anyway... mad promotion there.... MG freedom selling for RM 128, even my blue frame was RM 95 there The models exhibited there were superb, especially the MKII Titans... I would have bought one if not for the deterring price, I simply cannot afford RM 200+ on plastic now. There's also a C1 Plus there which was shadowed.... superb stuff. One thing I noticed is how puny in size 1/144 Seed kits compared to HGUC... |

Unless I sell 10 of them otherwise it's not worth the trouble Didn't take pictures though.... it's only a very small scale exhibition, in fact I'd say it's more like a sales promotion. But the prices are Anyway, Fantasy Toys in Lowyat Plaza is selling some models at low prices (comparable to Aunty Lenny's shop before the competition that is)... Most GSD 1/100 going for RM95, older MGs around Rm 130-160... Well, it's not THAT cheap anyway, but hey, Fantasy Toys never sell things cheap till now. |
