hey there
if u browse around www.hlj.com u will see each model has a specs indicated whether painting is mandatory and skill level required. For starters, most MG doesn't need painting. Of course u need to enjoy the process of model making so grab yourself some panel markers and touch up the kit yourself. Most people paint job on their PG which is really cool if properly done but for starters, an MG will non-painted is good enough. It won't hurt to paint later when you learn more details and technique with each new kit  thumbup.gif

thanks for the tip.. really appreciate it.. biggrin.gif

hello guys,

am just about to start assembling my 1st ever gundam and need to ask all u sifus a question.. hope u guys could help.

i bought a g.marker. it stated as GM01 - 200. Is this the finest i can get? coz its quite hard to draw those really thin panel lines with it.. i mean the lines made wif this marker is quite thick. (it may also due to my inexperience in doing so)

Any advice or suggestions?

Easier solution is to use an Eraser (rubber) and rub gently to thin the lines. Make sure you draw a bit then rub. If you line the whole model then only you rub, you'll have a hard time thinning those lines.

Also, sometimes it's impossible to line certain parts. You'll just have to trial and error until you get something you're satisfied with. Happy lining your model. smile.gif

yup, always prepared a eraser or tissue for correction....
Gambateh, keep on ur interest.... thumbup.gif

dun like one of my friend. give up paneel lining only becos his draw out of the line in his very first time..... ; doh.gif
I'm asking new Cosmic Region model. not IJ. will there be any of them? Legend? abyss? or Akatsuki?(just kiddin icon_rolleyes.gif )
*
owh ic..
is that mean that i bought the correct marker?
I'll try the eraser trick 1st and see how it goes.. thanks for the tip guys.. notworthy.gif
now...... where do i find an eraser.. doh.gif

i think although the water and eraser technique works, some area cant be reached with hands
while lining the face, quite hard for me, at the end had to buy the marker remover  sweat.gif
*
yeah, the finger technique is actually much faster doh.gif
but like u said, there are parts where the finger and eraser cant reach.

how much does a marker remover cost? Izzit stated as marker remover or it is stated in serial no like the black marker? maybe i'll go and get them tomoro.

they are toys laugh.gif
if you wanna make it real, replace some parts with metal, aluminium, etc whistling.gif

How bout those toys which were made with metal/aluminium? hehhe!

actually sum people dun consider gunplas as toys.. they called it as modelling kits.. coz toys would make them feel as if 5 year olds kiddies stuff..

Cut the decal out
place it on the place you want the decals apply on
then rub hard on the top of the decal with your finger nail / coin

And BE CAREFUL, as they can tear if you're not careful. Be waiting for your A1 to finish, because the Zeta Plus is awesome.

brother, all the MG Bandai kit decal no need to soak in water. Whoever ask u to do that should be spanked~!!  vmad.gif

I believe it come with 3 pieces of decals, 1 is with silver chrome background, 1 with light-green background and last is with semi-transparent background.

the silver chrome and light-green background is peel and stick.

the semi-transparent u can follow brother whoami123 steps. actually it call dry-transfer decal.

and and hope u ENJOY modeling ~!!! rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif

owh.. so the light green ones need not dilute in water 1st.. doh.gif
yeah, i've checked already, its peel and stick.. how dumb of me not to check it first oso.. shakehead.gif
