if u browse around www.hlj.com u will see each model has a specs indicated whether painting is mandatory and skill level required. For starters, most MG doesn't need painting. Of course u need to enjoy the process of model making so grab yourself some panel markers and touch up the kit yourself. Most people paint job on their PG which is really cool if properly done but for starters, an MG will non-painted is good enough. It won't hurt to paint later when you learn more details and technique with each new kit

Easier solution is to use an Eraser (rubber) and rub gently to thin the lines. Make sure you draw a bit then rub. If you line the whole model then only you rub, you'll have a hard time thinning those lines.

Also, sometimes it's impossible to line certain parts. You'll just have to trial and error until you get something you're satisfied with. Happy lining your model.

yup, always prepared a eraser or tissue for correction....

i think although the water and eraser technique works, some area cant be reached with hands
while lining the face, quite hard for me, at the end had to buy the marker remover

Cut the decal out
place it on the place you want the decals apply on
then rub hard on the top of the decal with your finger nail / coin

And BE CAREFUL, as they can tear if you're not careful. Be waiting for your A1 to finish, because the Zeta Plus is awesome.

brother, all the MG Bandai kit decal no need to soak in water. Whoever ask u to do that should be spanked~!! 

I believe it come with 3 pieces of decals, 1 is with silver chrome background, 1 with light-green background and last is with semi-transparent background.

the silver chrome and light-green background is peel and stick.

the semi-transparent u can follow brother whoami123 steps. actually it call dry-transfer decal.
