HK is consider AP set here. No international warranty. We dunno whether it is cheaper or not coz Samsung Malaysia not yet announce the local price. But since the local AP set prices are drop close to RM2k now, i doubt HK set can be cheaper by a lot. At least buying local AP set will give you local AP warranty, some up to 2 years. If got problem can go back to them. HK? Only if you go there often for business.

It's consider AP set and the problem is you don't even have any warranty locally. Worst than you bought AP set locally whereby they do provide warranty by the importers.

Hey guys, my first post in this thread.

Was quite keen on the Note 2 when they first announced it.

But now after reading all the reviews, it's so darn tempting.

I was using the Samsung S3 for a month previously and loved the notification LED.

Now the Note 2 has that, plus a bigger screen and the best part... amazing battery life!

Maybe I just gotta get one ASAP.

Yes, u will get the OTA update from that country your phone from.

If u can wait, wait for Telco package. Phone bundle with telco package definitely cheaper than RRP.

Provided that your set the country concerned has a firmware update available
Example latest update with multi windows only for UK, France sets not all Europe yet
Most Ap sets now are non UK n France

But I guess like the S2 before you can just flash that firmware right?

I remember you could update the country code to reflect the firmware origin, then the OTA updates do work.

I could be wrong though.
