Yeah, congrats to u for having it early. I'm prolly gonna buy with Maxis plan. So i'm thinking of the buying it at the big Maxis Center at KLCC . Hopefully it'll be here Friday. Can't wait anymore

manage to do 6972kbps download and 2240kbps upload yesterday night with my Tab 7.7.    The fastest i tested to date.  But i notice Maxis line not consistent - at the same spot, tested few times, speed can range from 1mbps plus to 4mbps plus.  In comparison, DiGi is constantly at 1mbps plus a bit and stay at the same no matter how many times you run the speedtest.

Worry unnecessary
This is not iPhone where users are crazy over it
This feed only a unique group of users as most still find is too big as a phone

I have confirmation from reliable source that the GNote 2 stocks are already in Malaysia. That means after the 11th Oct, sales should be pretty quick

Now if only your source have the telcos bundling plans; that would be great.

Digi or Maxis better? Anyone? Just got back from Genting Highlands during weekend and the internet connection on Digi was spotty and quite slow at times.. thinking of changing to maxis if got to tie 24 mths contract.

uncle thats why i wonder how much potential this device have when custom rom start coming up with all the uv stuff going, its gonna be crazy. stock form this phone is the best ive ever used period.

Heard from a reliable source Maxis will be launching the Note II on Oct 19th.

How Maxis subscriber manage their 3G bandwidth? Can share any tips to avoid outrageous charges? I've been in yellow all these while and never pay attention to quota since digi throttle instead of charges...

Btw, I'm on digi prepaid.. can still MNP to maxis and sign plan on note 2 launch?

That is soft launching .. No stock .. Jz can see only .. The actual want need to wait for samsung to announce to sell is still pending .. Then only can get during the samsung fair after launching .. So wait n see the newspaper to announce the final date..

from sales point of view the latest launching period must before iphone 5 announcement. maybe in june or july.

samsung brand loyalty is quite weak. many ppl who buy are just follow trend and latest commercials.

Just went to Maxis center to check whether I can sign a new contract with them since my existing 1 is gonna expire this mth.

The guy told me " Boleh sign contract baru. Tunggu lah ip5 dan note2. Dua-dua launch sekali..."

So, maybe it's next week, really.

Took the plunge and got an AP set yesterday. I am really impressed with the speed and the battery life so far. Using Note 1 previously, this Note 2 is a move forward for Samsung and Google.

Was sceptical initially on its performance but after using it for almost a day now, going back to Note 1 seemed 'slow'.

As I frequently change phones, AP set is not a problem for me. Most of my phones are gone before the warranty is up (i.e. my current Note still has 1 year on it so the new owner can still enjoy it like a new phone). Advise, if you are spending all your money on the phone and planning to keep it for long term, then get an official SME set, otherwise, get whatever that makes you happy.

Just because of one bad case you have doubts ??
seriously there are also many cases of bad service reported from Samsung Service center - check their bad postings at the Samsung Facebook
Tell me one Service center any phone manufacturer that has no record of bad service ??? Even Apple service center had their share of bad experiences
Similarly tell me one phone manufacturer that does not produce a faulty phone
In everything there are always bad hats
Personally , 80% of my stuffs are AP sets and i have so far only 2 cases i claim warranty - one replaced motherboard ( HTC ) and Galaxy S - reflash rom. At their service center i got excellent service
Infact most of my warranty claims are on SME sets - so does that make SME sets poorer - not necessary
As long as they service me well ( infact they do even thogh phones rooted/flash) I am happy

My HTC is AP set - i just sent back to the shop that sell me and is FREE warranty replacing motherboard

I always advised my friends buy AP only from those with registered shops and established as service support is assured. There are now many 3rd party AP resellers who does not have any shop or service center support. They take a lower profit and sell cheaper and you just got to pray your set no problem. There are too many horror stories of such warranty claims from such AP resellers which gives AP sets a bad reputation. Some of these AP sets are directly imported from other countries on a batch basis through some grey importer and for such buy with care. Once the model is out and sales make within first few months, these importers just disappear and re emerged again when newer models are out
