tonite my line very bad...getting 500kbps speed only ....i confirm on both speedtest and also streamyx official speedometer...

what the heck.... :S

I updated my 1Mbps to 4Mbps via online 1 week ago.. But my speedometer just 1.7Mbps.. They upgraded my line remotely (according to 100 cust service).. but my modem D-Link DSL-2640B modem shows

Downstream Line Rate (Kbps): 2047
Upstream Line Rate (Kbps): 511

SNR Margin (dB):Down/Up 31.1/28.2
Attenuation (dB):Down/Up 20.5/10.8

Is there anything I need to do in setting up my modem? I called 100 and report the problem, the guy just noted my case, give the ref no and told me someone will e contacting me within 24hours ... but it's >24hours already..

Help is needed here, desperately... many thanks

If through agent phone the agent, they will settle it very quickly for you smile.gif

If not phone TM and tell them the whole story

I just upgraded my account to 8Mbit. Account done, technician did not set the port to 8Mbit as well doh.gif

I also suspect technician didn't set up my port as well.. I did it online as say can save one month payment as discount sad.gif

btw...when you upgrade...you are supposed to get a blue form? the contractor who did the upgrade work for you will pass you the form...and for the first 2 weeks...actually streamyx will refer you back to the contractor who did the upgrade to you...

i remember that experience...so if your upgrade is still not over 2 weeks, you have to call back your current contractor...

I don't have contractor as I did it online.. Otherwise it would be much easier for me.. Called 'em again.. this time a female CS answered, just tell her that my port not yet opened.. She understood immediately... She said she'll update the case.. Yest technician tried to contact me but failed..

Hi just wanna ask... I want to upgrade my broadband to 4 Mbps but TM said no port... The problem is that my house has already open port for 4 Mbps... The technician also confirmed that I can upgrade to 4 Mbps without any problems because 4 Mbps port for my house already open... TM will upgrade remotely... But when I call 100, they keep insisting that no port is available... My house beside me can get 4 Mbps without any problems... Why I cannot get it??? It's not fair when my neighbor can get it and I cannot... sad.gif

Normal if they open the port 4mbps, if they open at 5mbps usually we'll get more than 4mbps.

Try kopi the contractor. Calling 100 doesnt help since 3.47 is above their promised minimum speed which is 90% out of 4Mbps

From your copy paste, your line is 2mbps only... The negotiate speed with the server only 2047 Kbps.

Downstream Line Rate (Kbps): 2047

Standard procedure only open 2048kbps before technician visit to your premise. Only when he visits your home they will call the technician at the exchange increase it to 4M and then proceed with technician's HSI account.Speedtest ok then only revert to your own account to confirm they have upgraded your profile. Finally use your own account to do speedtest and if ok ask you to sign job confimation agreement and leave.

In KV, where remote cabinet is widely installed, many lines already automatically capped above 4M, your speed is still limited to what you subscribe is because of your user login account. They do this for convenience because they want to standardize all the ports inside your remote DSLAM cabinet for easy work.
