Any torrent client is fast when the P2P throttle borked for some reason.
Not all time it's functioning.

I'm disappointed with the way TM assigning IP address, they should be more fair in giving IP addresses to all user, some get nice IP, some locked in a range. I wonder why are they doing this. .

Only way to bypass the throttling is by getting a VPN. You can try your luck though, try to not to turn off your modem or get disconnected for 1 week+, then try to torrent.

Out of curiosity, are you willing to do some test for me?

You might temporarily lost your capability to torrent for awhile but if you're still interested you can proceed.
First, pick any public torrent that you have fast speed with, as in you can achieve the maxspeed without any problem.
If you found one, pause it, then reboot your modem, once your connection is back up, resume the paused torrent and try to see whether you can get the speed before rebooting.

So, from the result, if you did not achieve max speed and seeing obvious throttled speed, I can say the global P2P throttling is bugged.
If you still get the same speed after rebooting then the IP range you're in probably ..somehow unthrottled.

You might want to remember the current IP range before rebooting though, just in case.

Yes, getting VPN is guaranteed you will get fast P2P speed, which? Just go look at service noticeboard, find the cheapest one. Any should work.
Anyway, TM does not give N-type modem for streamyx user, only unifi.

No such thing, probably a system glitch.

Yes, your snr margin will go lower when you're given higher speed. Lower the SNR margin, higher the rate of disconnection. You can't change your SNR Margin.

P2P throttle starts few years ago, not few days ago. It's a possibility that system glitch lasted that long. Torrents are still P2P no matter what kind of torrent.

You have to call technician to raise port cap to 4Mbps.

and oh yeah, if you have any problem with your internet, immediately contact TM, not come and rant in forum first as you can see there's tones of rants goes unreported in various threads because they decides to kecoh here instead of reporting problem.

That baffles me, different router used, SNR margin is near perfect, wired.
Ask technician come?

Just make a new report, tell to TM CS the problem came back.

I was given choice previous day,
5Mbps + Locked IP range
or
4Mbps + Free IP range.
I just 2nd option of course.. having various IP is gooding.

is it your first month? If first month yes.. I had to pay RM250 for first bill, then 140 for the rest of the year.
