must be c : drive Program Files
any problem
i played game saved will be c: drive i dont want i prefer saved game for d: drive
let say ssd virus i reformat then i dont want lost game saved

No problem, why would there be a problem?
For save games, they are usually saved in My Documents which on your C drive on default. Just move the My Documents folders to your D drive.

Check google for guides on how to do it.

How was the performance compare to other SSD since Samsung make the whole drive all by themselves.

I've used Corsair Force GT, Crucial M4, Intel 330, OCZ Vertex 2 and Agility 3 SSDs in the past (and present).
Compared to them, the Samsung 830 proved to me it is the fastest drive of them all but that only matters when I'm doing real-time video recording and recording.

This is where I save a huge video file (usually .tp/.ts mpeg-2, which could go up to 15GB for a 1 hour clip), and the Samsung 830 proved to be the snappiest.

So yes, to me at least personally.. it is the best SSD I've used so far.

How about the boot up time? Any differences, say comparing Samsung 830 to Agility 3?

I would say Samsung 830 will be a slight faster or you can't feel the difference between them. If you are dealing with big chunks of file then go for the fastest SSD but if you're using it for normal boot drive and open up applications, in real world environment any SSD won't make a difference.

If you count 2 seconds being a difference then yeah... I guess that's the difference, in terms of boot up speed.

Setting a script to open all my most used programs when Windows start — Chrome, PS6, Sony Vegas 11, StaxRip, Steam and loading the usual drivers — my Samsung 830 > Agilty 3 by roughly 3~4 seconds, give or take.

For games load time, I can't test that as my Agility 3 is only 60GB in size and it's already touching 50GB in space used. So no space for installing games there and compare it with the 830. But I reckon, the difference wouldn't be any more than 2 seconds either way.

Do you think TRIM is a must for SSD long term use? Do you experience any slower performance over time?

Thx

How much is the price of 60gb and 128gb of crucial m4 ssd? And can I get it at lowyat? Thx biggrin.gif

How's yr guys comment on this? negotiating a offer for LAMD's 120GB GTX / normal ones, but the Write speed is AWFUL for 120GB non-GTX version...

http://www.corsair.com/neutron/

120GB Neutron
Max Sequential R/W (ATTO): 555 MB/s sequential read
211 MB/s sequential write

240GB Neutron
•Max Sequential R/W (ATTO): 555 MB/s sequential read
370 MB/s sequential write

120GB GTX
Max Sequential R/W (ATTO): 555 MB/s sequential read
330 MB/s sequential write

240GB GTX
Max Sequential R/W (ATTO): 555 MB/s sequential read
511 MB/s sequential write

Gtx looks tasty smile.gif smile.gif

LAMD seems new to me... sad.gif

Sorry to burst your bubble, but scoring high in benchmarks is not "worth it", unless that was your goal. The average user really can't use all that performance, for example, it won't help you watch videos faster.
