Last time Citibank offer me a shell card which gaves 5% rebet I cancel it after few weeks usage then bank call me why I cancel it, you don't like the rebet then I answer "ur rebet not enuff to cover my losses from shell petrol". Big difference on the mileage la. 50km lesser I think. Tried a few tank then end up I give up the bank and petrol.. tongue.gif

esso = 380 to 400km
bhp = 400 - 450
shell = 450 - 500
i've been trying esso, bhp but still shell gives me the best mileage leh..... how come ur's different?

regarding legroom, i feel like forte is slightly bigger.
for the exterior design, i prefer forte as itz tahan lama mah... i guess i will feel bored on elantra later
btw, i have to carry my son in n out from the car, so elantra is too low to me

Where are you from? If you are from KL, go for Edwin Loh, he can give you a lot of discounts or free gifts.

I was in same dilemma like you last time about 4 weeks ago.

I went to the Hyundai, they told me the lower spec for Elantra is 92k, and they tried to provide me latest price list and print out for me. Once printed, they said "ooh.. price increased to 94 or 95k without reason... No new feature but increase price. I really !#@$!@#%$@!%$# mad.gif

Not worth to get Elantra because they just increased the price for their own benefit due to high demand. We have to teach Innokom the lesson.

Well, good thing is Elantra save fuel for sure if compare to Forte.

I get Forte 1.6SX at the end about 10k cheaper than Elantra 1.6.. Feature is more and more safer.. Got ESP as well. Features a lot. Somemore, I am old already and I think Elantra is too young for me smile.gif

Added on August 24, 2012, 10:16 pmI can see more and more Forte on the road in Penang. Happy to see that. smile.gif

The more fortezen, the more advantages to have this car.. Cool.

Yesterday just did 60k km major service. Cost rm910 with battery and vbelt. SC changed the same battery as 2.0L(mine 1.6L) said better performance. Haha.. Battery itself cost rm320. Price reasonable?
*
Did you ask if the Battery Alternator for 1.6 is good enough to support Battery for 2.0L?

Hi..may i know our 4 speed Forte can install paddle shifters? Where and how much?
*
Can install paddle shifter on the 4-speed Forte & functional..but i did not install it personally. Last time (some time last year) several Fortezens did a group purchase from ManCanDo (Singapore) & get it installed at one shop at Kajang. If my memory still serves me well, the cost is about RM7xx. U can click on the link above to go directly to Mancando website but beware of so many poisonous items there tongue.gif

It is almost impossible to prevent dust inside a car. However, we might reduce the dust inside our car by using the leather seat & plastic/rubber mat. Also try not to open the car's windows while driving/parking to minimise the dust from entering the cabin. Luckily our Forte got cabin air filter, otherwise, more airborne particles will exist.

If your car still new & the hairline crack exist by its own, u might send to SC & try claim for windshied replacement.

Normal comprehensive insurance does not cover windshield replacement, unless u add-on the insurance policy with windshield protection with additional premium paid

Hi everyone,i'm new to the forum and just got my Forte 1.6 EX Clear White and has just sent the car for first service smile.gif I have a few question:

1. The car steering feel solid when i'm driving in the city 80-90km/h..but i noticed whenever i'm on highway going over 110km/h the steering feel very loose.

2. I plan to change the stock 16" rim to 17" rim later. Will there be any difference to my FC or handling?

3. What can i do to improve my overall experience with the car?

Thanks everyone.

1. it happened to me before; i just got my car last june. some says it can be resolved by doing high speed balancing. however mine still vibrate while driving around 110km/h. i then conclude that it either cause by tires or my sport rims which i bought replacing the stock rims. later ended up with new tires + sport rim center cone...

i suggest, do high speed balancing 1st if u use stock rims. if u change to sport rims, make sure u use center cone which will reduce/stop the wheel vibration before decided to change the tires..

2. dunno. depend on the rim weight

3. a lot of stuff can be modded hmm.gif
