No la,the K3 imho has lost its 'macho' factor..it looks more or less like the elantra now,with too many curves. Personally i had wanted to get the city,but then one day a colleague of mine came to work with a new clear white forte 1.6sx, and i fell in love instantly with the look.

If you like the Elantra looks and can wait at least a year then why not wait? Like you said 97k is not 97 ringgit.. so need to choose wisely if dont want to regret. but nobody know whether K3 price will be the same.

black lagi susah maintain.. u send wash car, sure u'll see swirls marks at your car.. abit dirt on the external also can notice.. cool but very leceh to maintain..

Yes, I'm very happy with my forte right now. Great look & specs As advised, if you like the K3 more sporty design and can wait for at least one year, why not. However, I think the K3 wouldn't be the same price as Forte and should have extra features. Therefore it will be priced above RM100K loh

Same reason as me Now I a bit regret because I wash my car every 2 days - myself Every 2 days got 1 hour workout early in the morning just before heading out to work.

True,clear white very hard to maintain..i have to wash my car every 2-3 days also..especially since it rains a lot nowadays,always get mud all over the car..but then i think it's worth it since it looks big and very macho.

The only thing that annoys me though is that even a little sand in the car makes it look dirty ..i have to vacuum the car frequently and remind people to wipe the shoes before entering

White color also will get yellowish within years and if you need to paint certain parts of the car...you will 2 different tones of colors...

For the owner that already bought a new forte I think the more important thing is we enjoy the car.
I believe everyone here have the same perception we buy car is to enjoy the ride, we not buying a car to sell.

If this really happen it only effect us few years later.. but what going to happen on that time, no body can predict.

nope... no tax at all, car price still high coz dealer profit...
govt will tax the dealer so to ensure the dealer has same profit like now, they'll increase their car price...
and normally car price is subject to govt approval so the higher the car price, the govt will happy to approve...
example :-
car price 40k, bla bla tax, 40k, dealer profit 40k = total 120k
car price 40k, no tax at all, dealer profit mark-up to 80k coz need to pay to govt 40k = total 120k
see... no different...

Just now on the way back to perai, almost get kill by 24 wheels truck on the bridge when the truck made sudden change to left lane when I drive on left lane. Iluckily my emergency break worked very well and no car or bike from behind. My right side rear mirror scratched by the truck. Shit the reckless f driver. I just like alive from death. And thank to forte the good breaking system.

Where can I lodge the complain for reckless driver?

SPAD is for public transport (pengngkutan awam)...best still with jpj or police...

Last time was LPKP but now LPKP has been absorbed into SPAD.

Very agreed the points from the article "car is a depreciating liability, therefore it seems rather ridiculous that we have to allocate 20-50% of our monthly income to pay for something that costs less with each passing day". Need not to mention the flat interest rate introduced by finance institute suck more bloods from us compare to properties. End up we paid much more for this depreciating vehicle then the appreciating properties. It never commensurate to what we have invested all this while.

If the car price adjustment is not evitable, at least we still can reduce our loss by:
1. Do not get too high price tag car (higher price u paid, more you loss)
2. Hold your current car long enough so that it depreciated to "Nothing to loss" level.

I think our car met those criteria, as Forte price cheaper than other rivals within same segment (except Proton), and stylish outlook, nice built-up + the security features can make us comfortably last us for few more years.

I've been facing this reverse camera malfunction since the 1 week ago I got my new car.
The video image doesn't appear in the rear mirror sometimes and green light blinking in the rear mirror.
But sometimes it does appear and it seems to me like there's problem with the connection between the rear mirror and the camera.

Explained to the service center several times included my 1st 1000km service time the service consultant keep on insisting that this problem occurs to almost 80% of forte owners facing same problem and Kia has no idea what and how to solve this problem. They insist this issue is not cause by connection and they didn't even help me to take a look and check double confirm the problem.
The service consultant told me that currently they do not have replacement parts for reverse camera and require to order. They also said that they do not know when will the reverse camera come in and some of the customers waited for 6 months.

The problem continues and really frustrated in such small issue which should able to settle and confirm within an hour has drag till like without a dateline. And I don't feel that the service center even try to take a look and do a double confirmation on the issue.

1) anyone facing same reverse camera like me?

2) any good advice of whih service center will take customer's complain and property more seriously?

3) other than Kia service center any advice of where to fix and check my problem? Any shop to introduce??
