nice v14! guys, how do you calculate your petrol usage? Is like this for example, I pump in 80 bux, DTE says 480km, but the refuel warning comes in at about DTE 60km. So, in the end I have to refuel around 370-380km. Does this mean RM80 for 380km? Haha sorry noob question.
*
yup. for more accurate, pump the petrol after it reach "distance to empty"=50km, fill the tank around rm80, which is almost full. reset trip meter to zero, drive around n check the meter when it reach "distance to empty"=50km. then calculate manually:
ron95;
rm1.90/l -> rm80 = 42l
trip meter = 400km/42l
thus it equal to, fc = 10.5l/100km

yes
having steering vibration since receive the car.
sc tried alignment and balancing for few time (wasting few of my precious weekend...)
in the end say need to high speed balancing, and this is not under warranty (previous attempt all free)
damage: RM50 for front wheel only.
result: steering vibration reduced a lot, but some time still can be felt, maybe another 2 leftover wheel (rear) need to do high speed balancing also to totally fix this issue.

lazy to go sc again liao ...

ic. me too, above 130km/h sometimes feel steering vibrate. my fren ask me to do high speed balancing which i never heard about it b4 rolleyes.gif
he said, usually when changing tyre/rim, they will only use normal balancing which is around 80km/h or less..

Hi everyone,i'm new to the forum and just got my Forte 1.6 EX Clear White and has just sent the car for first service smile.gif I have a few question:

1. The car steering feel solid when i'm driving in the city 80-90km/h..but i noticed whenever i'm on highway going over 110km/h the steering feel very loose.

2. I plan to change the stock 16" rim to 17" rim later. Will there be any difference to my FC or handling?

3. What can i do to improve my overall experience with the car?

Thanks everyone.
*
1. it happened to me before; i just got my car last june. some says it can be resolved by doing high speed balancing. however mine still vibrate while driving around 110km/h. i then conclude that it either cause by tires or my sport rims which i bought replacing the stock rims. later ended up with new tires + sport rim center cone...

i suggest, do high speed balancing 1st if u use stock rims. if u change to sport rims, make sure u use center cone which will reduce/stop the wheel vibration before decided to change the tires..

2. dunno. depend on the rim weight

3. a lot of stuff can be modded hmm.gif

Long term will the paint(from the chipped part) come off with the sticker when i peel the sticker off? =s
*
i'm not really familiar with stone chip repairing but the less expensive method is using touch up paint. it will cover the localize area and when u wrap it, i think it will not come off after u peal the sticker. u might as well get input from others.

as for me, i already wrap small area at the front bumper and i wrapped the headlight completely. smile.gif
