How to know the status the application? Like for Citibank can call the Citiphone number and then type IC number it will automatically tell the status, anything similar for this Mach card?

I thought you can obtain this card within 1-2 hours? Or you applied and cancelled this card before? Then you will need to go through the manual process which takes about 1 week to approve and another week to receive the card.

Not the first time my cash rebate has been reversed. Earlier gave me RM 100 April campaign and not long after that reversed the RM 100. I checked with my agent, he said I'm not applicable for that. Fine.

The other day, credited RM 200 to me and now reversed RM 150. Either not sincere or I'm really that unlucky to be picked by them for giving false hope. I hope no more in the future or I will seriously lodge a complaint against them.

I have been doing this repeatedly since apply for Wise card last two week.

Signed up at a Mach branch 3 weeks ago. Instantly got my RM100 welcoming cashback I don't understand why you are angry though. You sendiri said you don't know why you were given that much cashback, and now you're angry that they took it back?

I'm angry not really because they took it back. I'm angry as if they are playing a fool with me. I'm their customer but keeps giving and revoking.

Know that kind of feeling?

If I was in your shoes, I would've been very skeptical when I first received that RM200 worth of cashback. I would automatically assume it's an error that would be rectified in the next few days. If it's still there after a week or two, I'd call and inquire about it. Similar case happened to my MBB2Cards. They gave the RM100 cashback twice to me. Only difference is that I don't think they would have revoked it had I not called them. It sat for 2 weeks in my account before I called them up and told them that they gave me extra.

In shorter words: mistakes happen. HLB made a mistake and rectified it quickly.

Throughout my credit card journey since 6 years ago, none of the banks makes this kind of mistake like they do. Two times in a row. I

Same story here, applied at MACH branch and it took 1 week. The approval itself was instant, but the card delivery took 4-5 days. I was told that you can't collect the card there either, it had to be at a Hong Leong branch. So I'm guessing the 1 hour thing applies to Hong Leong branches? It contradicts with Q6 on their Q&A though:



EDIT: just saw your original post inquiring about checking of the status. I received an SMS even before I could leave Paradigm Mall stating that my application was successful. I got one SMS from Hong Leong, and another from the agent/manager that handled my application.

I receive the card within 1 hour, but then again it took me 1 hour to sit there and fill in the form on their pc. Alternating between thumbprint verification of mykad, and telling the bank agent what to fill up. Horrible experience that i do not with to repeat. Easier to walk up to an agent and fill up. All done in 10 minutes. It is not like I need these card immediately anyway.

how about Mid Valley Mach Branch? anybody know Mach Mid Valley provide approval and can get card within 1 hr?
I am the Mach CC user on 2013 and terminated my card on 2014..Now thinking to get back this card after 1 year++(for the sake of dining 5%), easier approval or harder?

If there is no record found mean bank has yet to key in your detail into system.

You can try the one in Pavillion, looks for the guy named Darren. He's very helpful and if nothing happens you will get the card within an hour.
I didn't because mine needs to check further. Mine was approved in the next working day if I'm not mistaken.

Your case is exactly the same as mine. I terminated my card back in 2014 and went to Mid Valley during a Sunday to reapply, then problems occurred; I am an existing HLB card holder, so the application will be considered as adding another card. So they told me I can't get the card on the spot because need to have HLB credit card department to check on my payment history etc only can decide on the approval of the card. But they are closed on Sunday so need to wait till Monday. I said fine, just proceed with the application. After printing the EPF form, submitted the application form online and received SMS stating my application has been received, the agent went to check with the system, they said I already submitted the application form back in 2013, if submit again will become duplicate application. So they cancel my application, and asked me to fill in the form manually (hard copy). At the end it took me 2 weeks to get the card. Nevertheless I got the RM100 instant cash rebate the next day together with the 5% dining cash back

for those new hlb wise users also reported to have received 3x rm50 cb but then got reversed 2x later on. lol...

Finally received SMS, application approved, now just to wait for it to be delivered.

12th May: Submitted application to salesperson in the evening
14th May: Received thank you SMS for credit card application
16th May: Received SMS stating application approved
