How to know the status the application? Like for Citibank can call the Citiphone number and then type IC number it will automatically tell the status, anything similar for this Mach card?

I'm not sure about this, I'm a first time HLB customer, applied at the MACH branch in Paradigm Mall, was told to wait for 1 week.

Finally received SMS, application approved, now just to wait for it to be delivered.

12th May: Submitted application to salesperson in the evening
14th May: Received thank you SMS for credit card application
16th May: Received SMS stating application approved

The billing cycle date is default at 15th upon activation of card?

Also, will they mail the ATM PIN number for the credit card or we will have to request it?

EDIT: Ok found the answer, need to call and request, was told to wait 7 working days for the mail.

Currently I have a MACH card and I'm planning to apply a second Hong Leong bank card which is the GSC card to enjoy benefits at GSC. Any easy way to apply without the need of submitting documents?

Just received a new replacement card for MACH as part of their exercise to use Pin & Pay, there are some design changes (looks more classy now) and it also comes with Visa Paywave. For the Paywave, if the merchant has it just tell them that I want to use Paywave?

Yea snail mail, they should at least inform that they will be sending out new cards. If I didn't receive mine and I don't know about it, I won't even be calling them to inform of possible missing mail.

I mean if they don't mail it with a service that has a tracking number, they should inform of a new card that is on the way as snail mail has a higher possibility of it going missing. Also, my old card will be deactivated within 3 months from the date they issued the new card, it'll be inconvenient to find out that my card is no longer working after 3 months when I'm trying to make a transaction (that is if I never received the new card).

Yes same here with SMS activation, just dial the number given in the SMS that mentioned activation failed. There's a function to activate your card there and it is automated as well. That works for me.

Tried to use Visa PayWave at two outlets today, AEON and McD, both times failed. Wondering if it's my card problem? PayWave does not need any kind of activation for new cards right?

I have done many previous transactions by normal swipe.

At AEON I did it myself and failed. At McD the cashier did it but failed as well. Will the bank outlet have a machine that can test it?

I downloaded an app from Google Play Store that uses phone NFC to detect and read PayWave card. It was able to detect my card so I believe it could be a merchant issue, will have to try it out again.
