Guys, pardon my ignorance... I'm particularly only interested in the Social package.
Based on the exemplary scenarios quoted in post 1, does that mean I die die also need to choose more than 1 package? |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 21 2012, 08:55 AM) You need to choose 1 package when you sign up and each package has 3 categories in it. And after that you can sign up for any other category. Thanks for explanation. So say if you sign up for Social Package, you will be entitled to 10%, 2% and 3% cash back for Movies, Nightclubs and Events/Concerts categories respectively. All other transactions outside this mentioned 3 categories you only earn 0.2% cash back. However, if you want the 5% cash back for dining, you can then add this particular category where a fee of RM5 will be charged for each calendar quarter. If you don't remove this category by end of the quarter, it will be automatically charged in the following quarter. I'm OK with just one package as currently I don't really have a card that gives discounts for movies tickets yet. So, I'm just thinking to get Social package only. I believe for dining, I still have OCBC Ti to complement and IT stuffs I usually go during weekends and to the stores that accept AmEx, I that should compensate this part. |

Geez. I also want to apply this card fast before I fly off on 20th. During my absence, I still have utilities bills to pay.
OCBC really makes me suffer this time. |

So, I just choose one package from Social Package, Trendsetter Package and Savvy Package.
I think I want to pick up Savvy Package, so it comes free for Groceries and Mobile right? Then, if I want to add Movies, I just need to pay RM 5 per quarter right? I hope at least I got the above understandings correct before approaching MACH PCF in MV. Was thinking Movies or Dining but since I dine during weekends most of the time and fortunately most of the restaurants I went so far accept AmEx. So, Movies sounds more relevant for me because I haven't had a card that gives me any benefits for movies tickets yet. Can I add on/cancel the package only when I want it? That means, I may need it this quarter, that doesn't mean I will need it again in next quarter? This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 8 2013, 11:55 PM |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Nov 8 2013, 11:57 PM) You can switch category by paying RM5 (for 1 quarter). Thanks, so switching to the category is flexible at any time right? It may be pro-rated based on the date I add on, this is what I read from first post. You choose ONE big category : Social / Trendsetter / Savvy and option to add from other catgeories When we choose the BIG package, all the smaller 3 categories will come effect as the same time right? For e.g. under the umbrella of Savvy, it comes with Groceries, Health & Fitness and Mobile. So by choosing this BIG package, I get the 3 complimentary small categories. Not to say this thing is complicated, but I feel that the more I read the more I got confused. Anyway thanks, I think I'm pretty clear this time. |

Assuming I want Savvy package and I pay my phone bills every month via online, in addition to my gym subscription fees. So can I get the rebates as what it says in this category? I saw there's another package for online rebate.
I wish it's a simpler card like my other cards. This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 30 2014, 04:28 PM |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Dec 1 2014, 12:03 PM) You should get 3% for your phone bills and 2% for your gym membership if you opt for basic Savvy package. Basic savvy package is free. But if I pay my bills online or can I use MACH online banking to pay?But you can opt for additional online package for RM 5 per quarter. This will gives you a 3%+1% on your phone bills if you pay the bills online. And to cover back that RM 5 per quarter, you do need to spend RM 500 online only to break even. Not very worthy for me. |

QUOTE(tifosi @ Dec 1 2014, 01:44 PM) Supposed to be any transaction that flagged online will entitled for additional 1%. Doesn't need to be via the online banking. Sorry, quite rushing when I typed that just now.But I didn't subscribe to that option so maybe you should double confirm with others What I meant was if I don't subscribe for the 1% online, can I still pay my phone bills via online banking and entitle for 3% (savvy package)? |

Applied this card on Friday's evening around 8pm at Pavilion. The guy was telling me to expect the approval within 15 minutes but who knows he called me around 10 minutes after that saying HLB needs to check further on my application as I'm holding more than 3 cards. He will only know the status on Monday.
I wasn't really happy because my annual income has far exceeded 36k which allows me to hold as many cards as I like. Well, I then told him I'm no longer interested and asked to cancel my application. I shouldn't be treated as if I'm begging for this card. He tried to persuade me and even when I told him I won't be going back to Pavilion purposely for this card collection, he said will get it sent to my office. Let's see. |

QUOTE(noien @ Mar 8 2015, 05:06 PM) my friend had more than 36k per annum but they still rejected the application. Not valid in which sense? It is still valid and applicable to the intended group according to BNM.not sure the reason but din owe any money and only hold 2 cards. i think the 36k can have more than 2 cards is not valid anymore. QUOTE(jonjack88 @ Mar 8 2015, 09:02 PM) It's been awhile since i reply this post. Then I'm no longer interested in this card.Anyways, just to give you a hint on how they process your card application how many cards you can hold also depends on the credit limit you're currently granted. as banks know your credit rating through CCRIS. they will know your joint limit for all the banks combined and there's a threshold one cannot over exceed.. credit limit would be at max around (X times) of your salary depending on your job position, tenure at work, and many other criterias so if your friend has 2 cards but already giving him 15k credit limit together chances are it would be harder for him to get approval than someone who has 2 credit cards with 10k limit hope it answers your question cheers! |

Received approval SMS yesterday and nearly forgot that I have applied one.
Then, not long after the SMS came in, the agent in Pavilion also SMS-ed me that it will be delivered to my office. This post has been edited by fruitie: Mar 11 2015, 01:35 PM |
