QUOTE(wokan @ Aug 11 2012, 12:44 AM) Be aware that Maxis is doing some patching work between now and end of the month. So, I expect past midnight going to be problem for Maxis users be it slow or disconnect problem. I think it makes sense because during the whole afternoon to evening it was alright. 9PM onwards the connection became crap until now. When I try to ping others in G-arena, I get 100+ ping instead of usual 0-30 only. |

I have make report to Maxis and basically there are doing maintenance until end of the month. So, outage or slow speed is expected. Call Maxis CS and make an incident. They will call you back. |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Aug 11 2012, 02:46 AM) It's only beginning of the month and they are doing maintenance until end of the month so this means it'll be a whole month to do it? That's crazy! spot on... but i suspect they are trying to accommodate the iptv... that is why no news on iptv until now... infrastructure not ready, server cannot cope.... blah3damn, when the iptv launch, maybe the server will burst into flame, haha... and our surfing speed will reduce to 14.4kbps... really beh tahan this maxis |

QUOTE(pcm123 @ Aug 11 2012, 03:34 AM) that is why tm unifi is now picking on maxis with its latest advertisement:"Trust Us. We Know Broadband Best." If tm unifi willing to lower down their charges, say RM128 for 5mpbs, i'll jump ship for sure! so, yesterday no FUP implemented yet right? must be TM hired hands spreading rumours then? haha
so it's going to bad connections every day, 10pm to the early wee hours till the end of the month then. Normalcy restored around 6am I think (that's when I switch things on anyway) although the degree of the problem varies... for example I'm only experiencing slow initial connections to websites with only very occasional page load failure |

Such pain !!!!! I would't buy the 1 month maintenance work excuse, never heard of telco needs 1 month for maintenance work. 3 days got la.
Maxis is buying time with this standard excuse when they can't solve the problem we faced. I doubt September will be any better. Then they come out with yet another excuse. Why don't maxis just admit its incompetency and offer rebates to us as compensation for service interruption ? |

Not much difference."Trust Us. We Know Broadband Best." If tm unifi willing to lower down their charges, say RM128 for 5mpbs, i'll jump ship for sure! Go to hell with maxis forever problematic ftth Heard that Celcom gonna join in fibre also but kinda expensive based on the speed they give. |

I suspect Maxis use other way to indirectly imposed FUP to their user without any notification, this is more scary my friendso it's going to bad connections every day, 10pm to the early wee hours till the end of the month then. QUOTE(danieltay @ Aug 10 2012, 11:49 PM) some stupid engineers in maxis server centre trying to be genius yet again... placing some processing in the server for web browsing request, yet again... wtf! that fit my theorythey just removed the processing a week ago and now trying some new tricks... you would see the "Sending requests..." message at the left bottom of your browser screen Added on August 10, 2012, 11:52 pm i do not believe it has to do with maintenance work... they are screwing the maxis server centre yet again by placing some processing for web browsing request why i say so? because my own website hosted in USA load very slow or not loading at all at times... but when try to ftp, it's going smooth and fast... it must have to do with the way they handle the web browsing every month the servers are reset its quota quota can have many type of measures so it not just limited to users bandwidth but also can apply to destination targets and the "some processing" apparently is spying on us Added on August 11, 2012, 12:48 pmsome fishy coincidence that i come to lowyat forum to post something bad about maxis i will lost my connection.. in 10 min i lost twice.. need disconnect and connect to make it back..
