Just got my 1st monthly billing which is horrifying since its from Maxis... I don't understand the 'perpetual discount RM100' stated in the billing, is it from the maxis RM110 promo? And how come the internet monthly fees are not standardized, when I compared my billing with my neighbours.

I assume you're attached with 10mbps RM 118 promotion. Last time the original price was RM 218, therefore perpetual discount RM100 indicated in your bill.

not actually the motherboard itself, but rather the software that come with it...

apparently the Network iControl in the ASUS AI Suite is causing some internet problem.... disable it if you have it turned on...

Maxis FTTH users,

Just a quick question, does the RM138/10Mbps package comes with any IPTV package?

If no, will there be any in near future? Need to pay extra or will include in the original RM138 package?

direct answer, no.

additional answer, rm138/10Mbps is for existing maxis customer, meaning if you have any active maxis account. non-maxis-customer will have to pay rm148/10Mbps.

further answer, IPTV already launched by maxis but deployment not yet done. most likely maxis internet user will have to pay additional charges if they want that service.

I seriously doubt maxis is generous enough to absorb the cost of installation and STB for all MHF customers. Very likely, only those subscribed a minimum contract period will get the free STB + installation. (similar to that of Astro subscription.) or out right purchase of STB and pay for installation to enjoy the basic FTA channels.
Above are my guess only.

Normal price for Maxis FTTH 10Mbps is RM218/month, so it stated perpetual discount RM100 for those who subscribe during RM118/month promotion (RM218 - RM100 = RM118)

Internet monthly fee for the first bill will be pro-rate starting from the date of "working and usable Maxis FTTH" installation to your billing cycle date. Eg.:

Installation date: 7th July 2012
Billing cycle date: 14th July 2012
Pro-rate bill amount: (14 - 7) / 31 * RM118

Hope it helps, tq.

It is actually calculated this way:
Pro-rate bill amount: ((14 - 7) / 31 * 218) - 100 Perpetual discount

Apparently is your desktop problem (mostly is the PPS client settings).
Leave those settings default and try (maybe you've set something before? i mean back to the time u were using screamyx).
