Managed to install maxis ftth on tuesday afternoon.

Installation time was set to 230pm. My place its a condo with the standard guard house.
Maxis called me the day before to reconfirm again.

TM contractor arrived at 2:15pm, directly go to my unit and start to configure the hsbb backbone. Their job completed around 3pm and Maxis contractor haven't reach. TM mentioned that they dont have the Maxis installer contact number.

I called Maxis Helpline to inform that they have not arrived. Told me to contact them back if the installer didnt come within 30 mins.

Then TM contractor start to call their centre to get the maxis installer number. Got the number but seems unreachable. Finally the maxis installer manage to contact TM contractor and TM told him that his side is done. Apparently, Maxis installer has been waiting for the TM counterpart to arrive at the guard since 230pm. But TM has already arrive since 215pm and directly go to my unit.

Maxis installer proceed to install ftth. He mentioned that he's new (within 2 weeks of working as installer)
I can tell that he's not up to par in terms of installation. He's having difficulty in setting up. But eventually manage to get it done within 1 hour.

So total time to install = 2 hours
Major problem: They don't have each other contact number.

Overall, quite satisfied with the speed.

I thought this a very common trick/excuse play by most late comers ? Some more not answering call or unreachable in the first place.

haha regardless, I can see they are having major communication problems between the 2 party.

For example, If both party has contact numbers of each other, my installation time will be probably around 1 hour.
Then they will have ample time to proceed to the next installation site without delay of any party.

I switched from Thompson to Asus RT-N13U B1 because the problem was the same with both routers. So I don't think this is down to the router or firmware. Btw, I'm using a DD-WRT firmware.

Im having the same issue, some pages requires a few try/refresh to load.
Using back the same router before i used maxis hsbb.
router is linksys wrt54g / default firmware

Does changing the router make a difference? Funny thing is, download speed is consistent. It's just when browsing that the issue is prevalent.

changing router/dns doesnt help.
Download speed is consistent.
