Must be the rusty spring 'eek eek eek' sound. Just spray WD40 and all will be gone. But if its the wind/gas sound 'psst psst' sound, thats normal.
*
Yup those were exactly what i heard. The eek eek sound and also the wind/gas sound.
Thanks for your explanation.

I believe everyone also experienced the same thing bro. You just have to get used to it. But having said that, it works just slow response.

Try to wait until the engine started only release your brake. i got this sound also sometimes when i release my brake before the engine fully started.
is it the 'CAUSE' of the cranking sound? hmm.gif if it is true, so SA should teach new owner how to start the car properly..

never ever leave your kids in the car porch...always take note that

also nowadays quite dangerous if you are not living in a G&G neighborhood.
when open your gate, robbers come barging in.

The best is just be careful and alert ya guys... It's better to be safe then sorry cool2.gif

By the way, just to share with you guys about my road trip to Melaka last weekend. The handling of the car is really steady and good (I drove Accord 2.0 1997 model....very long liao and reminds me of my old accord (sold already!))

I used cruise control all the way however there are some annoyances such as when the car is going down slope (mild slope along the highway) you will feel the engine braking when it is trying to maintain the speed at 110km/h and not pumping any fuel to it (can see it through instant fuel l/100km is 0.0l/km)..other than that is superb...acceleration using the cruise control stick is responsive and instant effect!

Just press pedal from 110km/hr and you will feel the car is responding quickly and immediately climb up to 120km/hr when you need more power to overtake

Overall very satisfy with the car! but fuel consumption is a little high shocking.gif maybe i am still under 1,000km...now doing around 500km... the FC is around 10.5l/100km

This might be ideal for the first start of the day. The next start can just insert fob, press pedal and push start. I would say this is a workaround.

However in the first place, user should be able to use the quickest start method without any over cranking problem. If need 3 times to push, that defeat the purpose of having push start button.
*
Yupp..i agree with u. That's why i urge my wife to just use the simplest starting procedure (insert key fob, press brake pedal & press the start button) every time regardless a cold start or whatsoever. I did practice the same with my Forte too..no problem with it until now (2 years 3 months already).

Fortunately after over a month owning a Preve, there's no starting problem occurred. Only several time the Preve failed to start due to i released the brake pedal too early while cranking. That's because i'm too used to my Forte (the brake can be released when the car start cranking). While for the Preve, we only can release the brake after the car finish cranking. Touch wood..hopefully the Preve will serve us well in years to come smile.gif No major issue as of now..& FC also consider acceptable averaging at 8.xL/100km driving mostly in Alor Setar town thumbup.gif

guys, on the One Way Valve issue, after change it to a new one, is there any possibilities of the problem re-occur? as from my readings, the OWV is because of the oil not sticking enough on the valve after being left unstarted or cold... seems like re-occuring issue for me.. or i got the readings wrongly?!?!
