QUOTE(kiapreve @ Jul 1 2012, 07:52 AM) I like petronas primax95 n BHP, my car more responsive n powerful when up hill , esso and shell sux... I feels the same too..both Petronas & BHP RON95 fuel gives the best performance for my Forte. For the Preve CFE, i'm not so sure since my wife drive it most of the time

QUOTE(moment900 @ Jul 1 2012, 04:17 PM) Guy the sales breakdown for May 2012 has been released, something noteworthy is that TOYOTA will not provide sales data by variant to MAA anymore due to concern with competittion act! Wonder whats the reason, cause all the while they provide till April 2012, from May 2012 onwards the refused to provide anymore and the irony is that Proton Preve was launch in April 2012. Maybe sales of Toyota Vios and Altis drop drastically so can't disclosed by breakdown!http://www.motortrader.com.my/news/top-50-...ls-in-may-2012/Perhaps u are right..who knows. Dont want to drop water face maa..

QUOTE(zaFrOoNaLdO @ Jul 1 2012, 11:30 PM) how does the auto fold function on preve works? If im not mistaken, it will auto fold when we press the lock button/switch off the engine? If that's the case, if possible, proton should just change it to auto unfold when we unlock the car or start the engine. dont worry about other things. that's how auto fold function works on most luxury cars anyway.. right? That's what i wish for..the side mirror will unfold when we start the car or when we engage the gear. My wife keep mumbling about it until now

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Jul 10 2012, 12:00 AM) This might be ideal for the first start of the day. The next start can just insert fob, press pedal and push start. I would say this is a workaround. However in the first place, user should be able to use the quickest start method without any over cranking problem. If need 3 times to push, that defeat the purpose of having push start button.Yupp..i agree with u. That's why i urge my wife to just use the simplest starting procedure (insert key fob, press brake pedal & press the start button) every time regardless a cold start or whatsoever. I did practice the same with my Forte too..no problem with it until now (2 years 3 months already). Fortunately after over a month owning a Preve, there's no starting problem occurred. Only several time the Preve failed to start due to i released the brake pedal too early while cranking. That's because i'm too used to my Forte (the brake can be released when the car start cranking). While for the Preve, we only can release the brake after the car finish cranking. Touch wood..hopefully the Preve will serve us well in years to come No major issue as of now..& FC also consider acceptable averaging at 8.xL/100km driving mostly in Alor Setar town

QUOTE(K2002 @ Jul 10 2012, 02:08 AM) actually push start button itself for this car already need additional step... usually key fob in the pocket...when get in car just press start button.. (2 steps) correct me if i am wrong for forte cars or any other push start button like ford and toyota prius c/prius for us..we need to insert key fob....then press brake pedal... then only press push start. our case( 3 steps) my old manual car daihatsu charade just need to insert key and then twist to crank engine...so no need to get inside car and press brake... (2 steps) Yupp..u are right..just 2 steps for Forte. Just make sure that the key fob is in the car (whether in your pocket or bag or whether at the front seat or at the back seat..just dont put the key fob in the bonnet..lol). Then press the brake pedal & push the start button

QUOTE(stargate8 @ Jul 10 2012, 05:51 PM) rm280 is cheap, i think camera only cost 130, labor cost 150 Cheap camera usually perform bad in a low light condition. So better opt for a more expensive one for a better view especially @ night time. Thinking of installing the reverse camera too on my wife's Preve, but yet to find a reputable accessory shop in Kedah to do it This post has been edited by izputra: Jul 10 2012, 06:00 PM

QUOTE(fulat @ Jul 11 2012, 03:46 PM) the R3 5 hole rim is lightweight.. doing promotion at RM1500 just the rim itself. maybe u wanan check it out Did u know what is the weight of that rim bro? If the weight is somewhere around 7kg & below (for a 16" rim), i might consider it. By the way, again..anyone know what is the offset & the width of the Preve stock rim? Kindly posted it here This post has been edited by izputra: Jul 11 2012, 04:17 PM

QUOTE(fulat @ Jul 11 2012, 04:40 PM) 16x7, lightweight, PCD 114.3 (5 holes) Thanks bro..but this lightweight rim = ??? kg? For instance, my current 16" lightweight rims (for my Forte) weigh around 7kg. Now going to find another lightweight rims (7kg & below possibly) for the Preve also..wanna improve Preve pick up & FC especially for town driving One more is, what is the offset (ET) of this rim? QUOTE(fulat @ Jul 12 2012, 08:33 AM) i guess R3 is gonna be lighter than 7kg.. Hopefully If it's true..i might go for it. Else, the Advanti lightweight rims are also a good alternative. Now, i just want to know what is the offset the Preve stock rim in order for me to find a well suited rim. This post has been edited by izputra: Jul 12 2012, 08:39 AM

QUOTE(sanadi @ Jul 13 2012, 09:43 AM) If you look at our Service Booklet for CFE, Spark Plug change is at 60,000 km, Air Filter Change is at 60,000 km also. CVT oil (Esso, NOT ATF or Dexron-type fluid) and CVT oil filter at 60,000 km also. Seems at 60,000 km will have MAJOR service and MAJOR price. If we can consider Exora Bold CFE service items = Preve CFE service items, for 60k km service..the price should be just over RM1k 60k km service for Preve CFE will be a MAJOR headache to the owners too...
