Guys, just wondering if i installed the reverse camera Rear View mirror type on my Preve Premium CVT...will it void the warranty?

I asked my SA and he said it will not void the warranty...however quite doubtful..dont want to waste my 5 year warranty!

Please advise!
*
it will void the HU and wiring warranty only, wont void the driveterain 5 years warranty.

and for those who has yet to make it into the owner's list, blast me a PM. I'll be busy for this two weeks so I'll skip reading sometimes...

Is there in any way a safety features as well..? Like to prevent the driver of this car to become deaf-tune due to the horn honking or something? hmm.gif
*
its to conform to the EU noise pollution thing. Sikit sikit mau pim pim pon pon... rclxub.gif

front doors not properly shut it will NOT sound the horn.

Rear doors and trunk not properly shut, then only will pon pon twice.

(ii) heartbeat during P.
(iii) No alarm is triggered if front doors are not closed properly when lock the car.
(iv) flimsy glovebox
(v)heavy brake dust
*
i) its due to the hook of the rear seats I believe?

ii) heartbeat? huh.gif

iii) normal.

iV) define flimsy... drop too fast? or cant drop at all?

wah problem are normal ar, thn ma susah lo, hav to go SC to get it fix..TT

i dun wan if i buy a new car thn not even 1 year everyday week nid go SC TT
*
The front door ajar no honk and heavy brake dust thing isn't even a problem lah. Its the character of the car. sleep.gif For instance, you like nasi lemak. I cant say you have a problem coz u like nasi lemak, right?

The BCM was programmed such way (front door ajar- no honking, rear doors ajar - ada honk twice). The heavy brake dust is a byproduct of the grinding of brake pad against the brake disc. You prefer Good stopping power + silent but with brake dust brake pads or good stopping power + eeekkk eeeekkk ekkkk ekkkkk sound but no brake dust brake pads? Want to minimize the brake dust? Learn to control the brake. Start braking softer and earlier, dont brake like track days. And also understand and utilize the engine braking.

I dont have preve. But my customer complained to me about the C-pillar noise issue and also sometimes radio reception not very good. Fortunately, he didn't encounter the one way valve problem yet.

this that rosak in few weeks and etc....
*
i dint sell a lot la, I only sold one to an uncle. He was in the car when I bawak the test drive car go for a test drive. So while driving, I explain everything to him then few days later he call me say he ready all the documents edi for a Preve. laugh.gif ayam punya sale. Haha.

But to date, my showroom has sold close to 30 units of the Preve. Dint hear any issues of customer coming back and make a big hoohah yet, so I just assume no major problems detected on the cars leaving my showroom lot.

i ask here abot the prblm, coz i saw a lot ppl post on fb and forum said preve drive halfway n a lot rosak...lol...
buy for few weeks oni always go SC ....TT
*
define a lot. 3 photos of Preve having problem/accident cant be counted as a lot of Preve encounter problem. It merely reflects a lot of people share the unfortunate event. "Stale" smell smell stronger than good smell and bad news travels faster than good news.

For instance on last week's TT, out of the 31 owners who came, 1 car was admitted to kilang coz kena bang by wimmen and only 1 has major problem (which was subsequently fixed after spending nearly three weeks? in SC). The rest of 28 cars just face minor problems like wind noise, seats gathering dusts, etc.

Break in the ENGINE not break the CAR lah. Not much to be gained risking an accident in the process.

To do that, kaw kaw rev the engine whilst in 'N' mode sudah cukup lah.

QUOTE(wewanwang @ Jun 30 2012, 10:36 PM)
Sorry to ask, whats the benefits to have engine break-in? How do i know if the engine was already break-in?
Just put the gear to N & press pedal kau kau for how long & what rpm?  sweat.gif
*
the moment you start the engine, it is already "breaking in", only it is very very slow. Normally, breaking in has two different approach, one is soft and another is hard. Soft break in involves driving slowly (usually for the first 1,000km) at speed not exceeding 110-120kmh. Hard break in is the complete opposite of soft break in, usually stretches the car to its upmost limit for hardcore drivers. Both has its pros and cons.

However, both types of break in shares a same basic rule: Do not let the engine to stay on a specific rpm for too long. This is especially important for those taking their new car for a leisurely drive/outstation trip. It is important to vary the engine rpm throughout the entire journey.

How to break in? Just drive. To go below (soft break in) or beyond (hard break in) 120kph, that's your choice.
