Is there any grey importer for Lenovo lappy?

Some forumers here are selling the Y480 GT640M LE and Y580 with cheaper price but only provide 1 year warranty. Shouldn't Lenovo Ideapad series comes with 2 years International Warranty?

They probably imported it from another Country such as China/US, which has already started selling for a while now.

Local Malaysia set configure with 2 year warranty...Original standard warranty is only 1 year International...u can buy warranty extended pack from lenovo to extend up to 3 year...izzit u use laptop till 2 year or 3 year? after 1 year also u can tahan with new update?

for the spec this baby is offering i think 3 years is not a problem

can you talk more about the extended warranty ? How much? can apply on the y580 with 1 year international warranty that you brought in?

between the ASUS N56vz and the LENOVO Y480, which got better heating solution?

i read all the post but i cant get to the conclusion...

For info, official set of Y580 from Lenovo Malaysia will only be available sometime in July. Y580 currently selling in market is a imported version. The official set come with Blue ray & 2 yrs warrantly where imported set come with DVD & 1 yr warrantly.

Y480, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GT650M (GDDR5) @RM2499[JBL], 4GB, 500GB, DOS
N56Vz, i5-3210M + Nvidia GT650M(GDDR3)@RM2699[Bang&Olufsen], 4GB, 750GB, W7HP, subwoofer
Y480 vs N56vz

i7 > i5
GT650M(GDDR5) > GT650M(GDDR3)
500GB < 750GB
DOS < W7HP
14" vs 15"
Y480 is RM200 cheaper come with faster core i7 & GT650M(GDDR5) less trade off 250GB, W7HP, subwoofer. N56 is more attractive/better design but questionable warranty service imo.

Y480 is best bang of the buck for gamer in price/performance with better mobility in 14".
N56vz is more attractive & better design . If this is the only computer you have and u cant leave without it, try look for other as u may headache with their warranty service.

N56vz definitely seems to hav better thermal design...y480 looks a bit "cheap"...lenovo pricing for their y480 and y580 is so aggressive which makes me question about the overall quality of the product...i would choose asus bcoz of the better design imho...

Y480 use a full copper heat sink and shorter heat pipe seems to be more effective in CPU & GPU cooling Its HDD temperature may relatively high as its baked by CPU & GPU.
Y480 spec with a faster core i7 & GT650M(GDDR5) in a smaller chassis 14" will generate more heat compare to N56vz.
Nice pricing for Y480 & Y580 will make other notebook seems overprice.

The graphic card is GDDR 5, while ASUS N56VZ is GDDR3


The HDD temperature almost same as Y580, really abang adik
