hahaha...does this double fans really matters that much in terms of practicality?? two fans running means empty your battery faster , and the laptop size has to be blown up to accommodate another fan, the notebook will be heavier too due to the extra metal fittings...oh yah, the company are going to bump up the price to a million ringgit too if they have this extra feature.....and wht's more surprizing ,the extra fan u have there is useless unless you are gaming~~

Y580's temperature look nice to methe problem it has is the location of the HDD ...the whole cooling system is working fine on this laptop with SINGLE fan Added on June 19, 2012, 9:59 pm QUOTE(ytlay @ Jun 19 2012, 09:46 PM) black colour is timeless...especially on edgy technology part..BIG BIG "LIKE" for the look of the internal..which laptop is tat? QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jun 19 2012, 10:32 PM) if you ask me ..yes, im okay with that for the price lenovo is asking ... this is a value buy already im using an old acer 4935G, idle arnd 70'c, under full load already 92~3'c it still last me for 3 years without any problem, never changed the thermal paste or anything just vacuum the opening and fan sometimes.... DV6's cooling are good , G55's cooling are good, dual fan's cooling are good but value wise..i'll still choose the y580 |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jun 20 2012, 01:41 AM) DV6-7038tx listed in HP malaysia driver site with spec i7-3610QM, GT650M(GDDR5), FHD anti-glare, 8GB, 1TB(5400rpm), blue ray http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...product=5277765 Its seem GT650M can OC to GTX660M. full HD, anti glare, GT650 (yeah, even without OC the performance is not that far apart),quad speaker+woofer hope its price will be competitive enough ...y580's specs and price makes every other brands seems overprice |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jun 21 2012, 08:00 PM) Y580 with full copper heat sink and shorter heat pipes should provide better CPU & GPU cooling than N56. hmmm...but this will mean void warranty the moment you got your laptop~ Y580's HDD located at "oven" need to swap with DVD for better cooling. If gaming for long hour, open back cover blow with cooler for super cooling. |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jul 3 2012, 03:07 AM) Its different from ur OC setting below. actually all Nvidia GPU clocks go lower than the OCed value/max value after you stop loading itOC GTX 660M Boost 950MHz to 1045MHz ! Memory from 1250MHz to 1312MHz Dual Channel is 2625MHz! If same setting, gpu OC base clock is 930mhz with boost clock 1045mhz. Wen Furmark finish, gpu should clock 930mhz & not 835mhz(default). because 1) the GPU can cool itself down faster that way 2) save power you can test it yourself if you got a computer with Nvidia card..load it with furmark or watever software then close the software ..you'll see the clocks go lower than usual..but when u load it again it will go back to the max speed... |

QUOTE(ytlay @ Jul 3 2012, 03:44 AM) Thanks. Glad to know u OC without any throttles. aiks ytlay ..deepcool is already using GTX660 ~ Wen free, try to max OC & check any throttles during Furmark. Wish u can challenge GT650M oc to GTX660M Good night... anyway, i do agree to OC that already superman-like GTX660 to it's limit (without burning a hole on the board or kill the HDD of course) Who don't like extra power without paying more afterall |
