If gaming for long hour, open back cover blow with cooler for super cooling. |

According to N56vz from notebook review here
Stress test with full load on CPU & GPU at temp 25.5C CPU max at 97C, CPU throttle to 1.2Ghz From HWiNFO64, its seem GPU also throttle to 350Mhz ![]() Look like i7-3610QM really produce a lot of heat and i5 should be better. QUOTE(jammerlee711 @ Jun 21 2012, 10:22 PM) Just swap DVD with HDD when warranty claim, its still cover. This post has been edited by ytlay: Jun 22 2012, 08:40 PM |

Added on June 23, 2012, 11:50 pmJust come across a killer spec with killer price in recommendation thread here.. Oh! Lenovo really want to make other OEM Lenovo Y480 i7-3610QM, GT650M (GDDR5), 4GB, 500GB, DOS at RM23xx. Someone oledi selling in garage sales. Remember to upgrade the warranty for peace of mind. There are so many concern on the high HDD temp on Lenovo Y580 on Chinese site. Here is the answer from a forumer who claim that he is Lenovo researcher in Chinese site here. Translate it below, excuse me if any miss translation. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « According to the researcher, a simple solution to reduce the HDD heat is to wrap the HDD with heat insulator. Its like wrapping the chicken in the oven, is it effective??? QUOTE(jammerlee711 @ Jun 22 2012, 11:17 PM) i dun really think this is possible but will there be any slight possibility LENOVO will change it's PCB board design for future Y580?? Imo, they will only change the layout may be next year for new generation Y series due to costing. The will use the heat insulator to reduce HDD temp. lol that's not right. US website is usually updated. Taken that, the original leaked specs for Y480 is this one, still, the price even FreeDos is too unbelievable.
Anyway lets discuss. >14 inch >GT650M GDDR5 >i7-3610 >Pre-existing heat issues with Y580 Reports of DV6-7XXX running GDDR5 version of GT650M going hot is quite popular on NBR. Fitting very much the same specs in a 14 inch, what would be the outcome? |
