you should be connecting your router to LAN3 not LAN2 of the modem

i did sad.gif

the initial setup comes with thomson WAN port connected to LAN2 , so i didn't change that.
then after the configuration on huawei and belkin, i connect the belkin WAN port to huawei LAN3.

it should work with any router right ?

try connect thomson router to LAN3 and test can it go online
if can then the problem must be your router

ok, will try your suggestion. Thanks man

Added on July 11, 2012, 9:33 amSigh couldn't work, probably my belkin doesn't dial the pppoe properly.

Anyway, I've set the belkin as AP to extend the THOMSON lan and turn off the THOMSON WiFi interface.

Although not optimal configurations but stability and reliability of WiFi increased and I'm happy now! !

Thanks

Finally I can connect the TPlink router to Zte 931ii. biggrin.gif

The default setting for the Lan Port is

Lan 2

Support Vlan Number : 4
Vlan ID 1: 621
Vlan ID 2: 821
Vlan ID 3: 822
Vlan ID 4: 823

PVID : NA

I tried to connect the TPlink router with this setting but failed, keep on request time out for PODO packets.

then i changed the setting as below and I able to connect with TPlink router.

Lan 2

Support Vlan Number : 0

PVID : 621

or

Lan 2

Support Vlan Number : 3
Vlan ID 1: 821
Vlan ID 2: 822
Vlan ID 3: 823

PVID : 621

I tried to connect Thomson to Lan 3 for VOIP but cannot, but before i able to connect with TPlink, I able to connect Thomson with VOIP by below setting, sad.gif

Lan 3

Support Vlan Number : 3
Vlan ID 1: 821
Vlan ID 2: 822
Vlan ID 3: 823

PVID : NA

Any ideas?

Any remedy for landed properties?
Or does the router problem only happen to high-rise building users?

for landed property you will need a vlan tagging capable router
i.e. Asus RT-N13U
set it up properly and you are done

interesting, does it work. or you need to configure the adapter?

if it works along with customized router... we can kiss maxis thompson goodbye over their shitty overheating problems, wifi problems & free public wifi. because some ppl do see a user id "maxis" login to router. who the hell is that?

This should be the easiest setup if confirm the thomson lan port r fine just wifi bad,& practically all wifi routers are workable. Disable thomson wifi oso shut off the unknown maxis wifi id effectively rclxms.gif

Next step is wait all sifu the find out how to connect the VOIP through the Zte modem rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
