saw this manual on maxis page, which also teach to manually setting the modem  include VOIP.

http://www.maxis.com.my/home/pdf/fiber%20i...Mbpspackage.pdf

Is this help to set the VOIP with the TM modem?
*
think cannot, coz the tm modem dun have the rj11 port for VOIP, the maxis use the thomson router got the rj11 port and support VOIP

Awesome. I was going to spend this weekend figuring out how to use my own router in place of the Thomson, but thank God someone beat me to it!

This should work with a WRT54GL, right?
*
this linksys router maybe can't, not all the router can, ur router must have the VLAN bridge function

unless the tp-link router flash to DD-WRT firmware then we can use, or also can choose ASUS RT-N13U

interesting, does it work. or you need to configure the adapter?

if it works along with customized router... we can kiss maxis thompson goodbye over their shitty overheating problems, wifi problems & free public wifi. because some ppl do see a user id "maxis" login to router. who the hell is that?
*
no it can't work i still try to configure out, because i need more detail for the maxis voip setting.

Those who using Maxis FTTH with custom router, do you think of using VoIP adapter and totally throw away the thomson router?
adapter like this
http://www.voipsupply.com/grandstream-gs-286
http://www.voipsupply.com/m-ata
setup maybe like plugin this adapter to one of the port of custom router and setup vlan to the port and setup sip in the router? not sure if it works that way..

Anyone willing to try it out? I dont have Maxis FTTH so cant test it out..
*
i got get 1 d-link dvg-2100s, and try setup the voip but fail
