OMG, 3 weeks gone after i submitted the maybank 2 cc application form at mont kiara branch but has yet received any call from maybank to vertify my details @.@

Call maybank tollfree. choose your language. card services. then maybank 2 cards. press for card apllication status.
it will give you your definite answer.

Let say i have a credit limit of 10k but i wanna buy something that is 40k... I make advance payment to my cc as much as 30k.. So that my balance would be -30k or in total i will have 40k credit to spend... Possible? Will i entitle for threats point (40k)?

I dont think we can make negative balance in our outstanding balance. Tried before for few hundred negative balance. Phailed!!

Don't worry bout it.. They sent me masters also when I got them and all you need to do is inform them that u want master not visa when u activate your new cards and they shall arrange for new cards for u in my case new visa (I've already got 3 masters in hand).. It takes another week for the new card to arrive but it won't affect as u can still use da Amex just not the visa/master at the moment..

been readhing some of the posts but not manage to find some solid answer

1. for buying item in oversea (USD),will the exchange rate be higher than visa/master
2. any other processing fee involve when buying? If the item is USD50, i will be charged at USD50 X exchange rate only ?
3. also can get 5% discount and 5X treatpoint if purchase made on weekend
4. which one is more recommend. Linking paypal to debit card/ amex/visa/master

The final amount will definitely be higher. It can be because the exchange rate is higher or because of the higher admin fee imposed for AMEX.

I personally use all AMEX, VISA and MC. Do note that you should only use your AMEX linked to Paypal after 2pm on every Saturdays if you want to the get 5% weekend discount as it follows Paypal's HQ time in US.

You can, but you need to directly pay into the card from maybank ATM or branch. ATM limit per day is 5k so will take 6 days to do it day by day.

Alternatively, you can bring 30k into maybank premier banking counter and they will deposit it directly into the card

I guess ronnie pays at the counter and thus can overpay. I normally overpay too, to the nearest rm. And fruitie pays online, thats why transaction fail?
