Today I wanted to redeem my Treats Points for Harvey Norman cash vouchers and get a Samsung Galaxy 8.9 android Tablet. However ended up get an Apple iPad2 for RM1,199. Yes, iPad prices have dropped in Malaysia. Too bad HV no more stock for the iPad2 so went to Machines and they have the iPad2 in stock. Since I use my MBB 2 AMEX often, my wife paid for the iPad2 with her own Principal MBB 2 AMEX so that I get RM50 cash back. Last month, also used my wife's MBB 2 AMEX to get a Philips Air Fryer and also saved us RM50

So I get to save RM100/month since both my wife and me have our own Principal MBB 2 Cards

Hi, I notice that Maybank2Kard Travel Insurance exclude the claim in respect of flight delay/missed connection, luggage delay/loss (as highlighted in red above) if the Covered Person's is in his/her Country of Residence.

From my understanding, if someone (Malaysian) wants to travel to Bangkok with the flight connection as follow:-

From A ---> KL----> Bangkok
If there is any misconnection of flight in KLIA(KL) to Bangkok, then it is not covered.
Is it a norm to all credit card issuer banks because I noticed that Hong Leong Bank  and MBF Platinum cards do not such exclusion clause.

Hope anyone can provide some insight as I maybe overlooked or misinterpreted.

My MBB2 AMEX cannot go through just now.

Maybe swiped too many times today.

My AMEX also cannot go through yesterday (saturday) at around 2pm.

The Auto-Debit with Astro and you'll get the RM 5 rebate regardless of CC from whichever bank.

Eh, do let us know the outcome. Auto-debit with OCBC sounds like a good idea 

I just called up Astro to setup the auto-debit and it worked but the RM5 is only for customer who has not sign-up for Auto-Debit before. Sorry, do not have the exact detail. They did say I'll see the RM5 rebate on my next bill. 

Is the April rebate in already? Mine hasn't been reflected yet.

i faintly recall that you can get the statement from ATM but it is best for others to come and provide some credible info.

been readhing some of the posts but not manage to find some solid answer

1.  for buying item in oversea (USD),will the exchange rate be higher than visa/master

2. any other processing fee involve when buying?  If the item is USD50, i will be charged at USD50 X exchange rate only ?

3. also can get 5% discount and 5X treatpoint if purchase made on weekend

4. which one is more recommend. Linking paypal to debit card/ amex/visa/master

Last time all CC are used to Swipe....After EMV chip introduced now should be using slot in already, unless the terminal is not upgraded yet.

That's one thing I don't understand. They'll never admit some of their ATM tends to break our ATM card and they (MBB) charge us for the replacement but not the CC.

Not sure if MBB charge us for replacement card like Citibank BUT when I asked if they would charge me for a new MBB 2 AMEX with the word Platinum (early ones without the Plat word), they said no and really reissue to me FOC.

Just call CS and explain to them your card is "broken" and you worry the tear will worsen and I am sure you'll get a replacement card for free.

Any details about free RM100 from Maybank?

I think some members here did get 5% cash back but I cannot remember the details. If anyone did get 5% cash back with pay pal, please repost the transaction details, i.e. Saturday or Sunday and Malaysia time. I will then post it at post#1 for others to refer.

Haha. I'm kiasu. I tried on Saturdays' night, confirmed weekend in the States already. I'm not sure which time zone to use, so just to be safe.
