Yes. Why not ? Ignore the MBF logo. It is the VISA or MC logo that's important.

Bro, be kiasu like me, call OCBC to confirm it's OCBC that called you and not somebody else.

And talking about Kingt, he actually PM me half hour ago doh.gif

Based on his posts at OCBC Thread, he is not sincere guy. He mentioned he will recommend his agent whereas he is the agent.

Noted also in OCBC Thread he offered to PM our MOD MilesandMore back in April offering GST waiver sweat.gif

Obviously he don't read the posts here but lurk around here to just cari makan.

Letting him off with a warning for now. If he still persist on sending unsolicited ad on card application, let me know.

Hi! Some retailers mostly the small shops that accepts credit card impose a fee if we pay by credit card instead of cash. I am wondering, is this legal? Is this within their right to do? I heard in Singapore, merchants that does this can be reported to MC or VISA as these charges are to be born by the merchant and not the consumer. What is your say?

Of course it's illegal for merchant to charge "additional fees" for using Credit Card payment.

There's no difference to the law in Malaysia and Singapore. A lot of consumers in Malaysia condone this vs. in Singapore as they want to put the charge on their credit card (Means no money to buy), thinks the merchant have the right to do so or thinks it is common practice.

The practice is illegal and against the T&C set by Mastercard and VISA International. Please report such practice and you as the consumer should not be condoning the fee.

Call your bank which issued your card or direct your report to Mastercard / VISA International directly. Please note in either case, likely you'll be asked to furnish evidence to back up your claim.

Sure, they can give you a credit card (except you are under 21 years old)
most bank will offer credit card to person having car loan, housing loan ect... with them
Does you mom also got this offer from bank...??? blink.gif

Since you don't earn any income, you won't get the CC even you have a loan with them.
Which bank "so stupid" didn't check basic income before pre-approval ?
