QUOTE(hye @ Feb 28 2012, 11:04 AM) Looks like rates are coming back to its original levels a few years back. 1.5% per month or 18% per annum. It's either BNM relaxing the ruling or perhaps the ruling is actually a guideline (from BNM) to the banks. Guideline allows max 18% for those that missed more than twice. That's why most banks opted to go to the max. I think Citi still sticks with 17.5%. This post has been edited by b00n: Mar 2 2012, 01:25 AM

QUOTE(yvonnesoo @ Mar 19 2012, 10:58 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « would like to ask whether can we cancel the cc if there still outstanding balance on the card? need to settle full amt or repay the bank monthly?
since BN implement those below 36k to haf only max 2 cards and those that haf over 2 cards haf to cancel the card and given max of 2 yrs of grace period to repay the bank?? i wonder is tis really implement on every bank?
if yes, so the monthly repayment will be charge by interest or interest free? i doubt those bank will give interest free repayment lor.. It should be "interest free" per say unless you missed payment. Why i say that is because interest already charged is "ALREADY CHARGED". i.e. if your current outstanding balance is RM12k (inclusive of interest charged - if previously you don't pay in full every month), and they term it out for 12 months; monthly repayment is RM1k. So if you miss the monthly RM1k repayment, interest at card's interest rate and late fees will be levied towards your account. but again, pls confirm with the bank. QUOTE(Gen-X @ Apr 5 2012, 09:59 PM) Yah, I was considering that, 2010 not a problem. 2011 BE Form Big Problem - no salary. If I really want to increase my CL must go fast fast and go apply before end of this month. If you can prove you have rm1 million net assets, then viola...you need not submit income docs..

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Apr 6 2012, 01:00 AM) How much minimum CL I can get if I can proof above? I know people who has more than RM1M in FD but their PB issued credit card CL less than mine, hahaha. By the way, to proof got 1 million assets also need to submit document lah to prove the same. CL what I know of is there will still give based on what you have outside. On documentation, most probably you will need to give your FD slips, bank account statements etc lor... Maybe shares, property title... haha Who knows what BNM is thinking when they came up withe policy on High networth customer with Rm1 million and above. --------------------- Btw you can try ask the sales saying what if I don't have any valid income documents. So how and what should I do if I got lots no money in my bank account. See what are their response? This post has been edited by b00n: Apr 6 2012, 01:06 PM

QUOTE(koh_424 @ Apr 6 2012, 11:34 PM) Have u tried to tell them tat u have submitted once & their bank got no feed back? I done tat on Citibank today. The telegrapher said will pass the case to his manager & wait for approval. I was asking for 100% credit limit increment. God bless So did they approve? I doubted so if you do not even submit in the first place. The most they will say is "sorry, can you resubmit" if you insist you did submit and they lost it. Then they will give you some kind of rebates or something.

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Apr 13 2012, 05:22 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks for the reply Bro, I just call MBB CS before I read this and as you mentioned can transfer to third party over the phone (by simply giving them name, Enrich Card No. and Telephone No.) As for the ticket, I bought them two days ago and just checked cannot upgrade. The joke is, with the sale, only need 19K Enrich Points to fly to Melbourne one way which means each of my child only need extra 7K Enrich points!!!! Too bad for for me did not check it out earlier, "wasted" about RM2K+ (Edited - not including taxes just purely for ticket, I remember hye mentioning still need to pay taxes and etc). This Enrich thingy came about because I applied for one and then remembered my children have the cards. Flying back with AA from Gold Coast. But now I know what Enrich points can do, maybe I won't let my wife redeem my TP for cash vouchers to get her SKII and instead save it for FREE air tickets Then she should start using her premier miles... Anyway I know Premier Miles allows rebate using the mile points to "pay" for traveling expenses incurred which I would presume flights and hotels. Would you know whether it covers normal retail overseas?

I think you can clarify with the bank first and see how they treat it. If they claim that is cash, then probably you would want to dispute it.

BNM did requested banks to access the affordability of a loan product to customers in the form of Debt Service Ratio, i.e. DSR. In their guidelines, BNM mentioned not only those loan debts by financial institution but any other debt commitments should be obtained at best effort basis.
Eg, loans like koperasi loan is not in CCRIS, installment payment to Courts Mammoth is not there etc...
So don't be alarmed if banks gives you another form to "declare", they need to comply to BNM by doing this.

QUOTE(lee9171 @ Aug 14 2012, 08:34 AM) Any bro/sis got experince on cash withdrawal using cc? I withdraw RM5k on July 20 and fully paid by July 23, of course as standard, bank charge me 5% for cash withdrawal, that's fine. My credit card statement dated Aug 6 received, I saw there are additional charges RM 2.XX for cash withdrawal interest. I called the bank and they inform it's cash advance interest fees with charge at 1.5% per day. How can I completely stop the daily interest charges? by putting in excess money for cc account? or call the bank to stop it? That RM2.xx is your daily interest which is 18% per annum, i.e. 1.5% per month or 0.05% per day (30 days) hence it is correct. And no worries; the interest had stop accruing, else your Aug 6 statement will show more interest than that. Seems they only charged you 1 day interest.

QUOTE(shuangping @ Aug 23 2012, 11:15 PM) please dun said like this. do u understand english? if i hv any idea for this card, then i not need ask here!!! and please respect ppl!!!!!! what is this post for?is for general question for credit card,so i hv right to ask any question! if you dislike, you can choose not answer, not mean you can scold ppl here!! respect ppl you oso dunno, mean you more clueless!!!!!!! Diners has their own transaction network where of course they have their own card as well as alliance with other banks to offer their card using their network. Look at is as in the same form as Visa, Master, Amex. More exclusively you can compare them to Amex. However the cons are not many retailer carries diner's network. So quite useless card in Malaysia if you ask me. Similar to Amex previously, but Maybank is already helping to boost Amex presence.

QUOTE(maru @ Oct 22 2012, 11:55 AM) well bro... to be truth, those ppl who handle ur card, actually din really compare the signature 100% so if someone pick up ur card, and try learn ur signature, the transaction will go thru also.... :/ True, but if one picks up your card and there is no signature at the back, they signed, even easier to go through because they do not need to learn your signature. Those merchants handling your card are supposed to verify the signature. In the case of fraud, if proven they did not verify the signature, the losses are for them to bear. I believe not enough awareness is given to those cashiers for the minimum due diligence they should adhere to.
