NEX-6 + 35mm f1.8 + 16mm f2.8 for me enough jor.... most most add 50mm f1.8 OSS as optional.

I'm with you on this.. looks like a very tempting set up. I'll snap on a (rumored) iISO hot shoe adapter and mount my F20 on it as well...

if the rumours are true then NEX-5R will the the only NEX without built in flash

funny cause NEX-5 series is suppose to be higher end than NEX-3 series laugh.gif

or maybe sony thinks that not everyone needs the built in flash hmm.gif

NBTD so post crap here.... me thinks.

NEX-7
- King of the hill.

NEX-6
- I think this will be awesome street camera.. targeting enthuasiast with slightly deeper pocket and diehard traditionalist who die die must stick something to the eye else boh song. This I think is the real spiritual successor to the NEX-5 and NEX-5N
I think stevehuff will blah blah about how this is the next big thing and then biatch about how the EVF resolution not nice.

NEX-5R
- Target cheapfag camera geeks who dun wanna pay more for NEX-6 with new sensor, hybrid AF, control dial and most niceties found in entry DSLR's at that price point.. hope they improve on the bracketing options though

NEX-F3
- Target mainstream consumers... multi color IDs, camwh0re LCD, poppy flash.
- No hybrid AF cos consumer tak paham what's hybrid AF... mei mei's also don't run very fast otherwise sweat and ruin makeup.
- No remote shutter cable or IR remote cos consumers don't pakai bulb mode.

Boh pien la... since they target consumer and consumers cares more about how many creative filters the camera has rather than muck around with lens.

Chicken and egg situation.... no market share = many lens also no use. So better grab market share kau kau first by converting the biggest slice of the pie.

The NEX-6 looks like it got beaten with an ugly stick.

Nevermind the stupid decision to put an ISO hotshoe, the ISO hotshoe that is on the NEX-6 is ugly. Plus, it has no other pins besides the big trigger one in the middle (look at a Canon and Nikon hotshoe and observe where they put the signal pins.)

This might just mean Sony isn't going to make their own ISO hotshoe flashes - and even if they did, it wouldn't support TTL, wireless trigger or whatever.

The NEX-7, meanwhile, allows you to put a HVL-F20AM (or F43 or F58) and use that to trigger other Sony Alpha flashes wirelessly.

More pics of the upcoming NEX-5R

same like F3, can be tilted up 180 degrees (but cannot be tilted down as much as the current gen i guess? sad.gif )

which is a more useful feature? tilted down for overhead shot or tilted up for self taken portrait?

i got the iso hotshoe adapter from ebay.
it works perfectly with my YN468 flash, up to 1/250s!!!
but it stated not for mounting the big flash directly due to the weight will damage the connection.
I am going to get the Aputure Trigmaster this week and test the off camera flash!! Will need to sell the YN468 to canon guys and get the latest YN560EX!

With this I will satisfied with 5N at this moment. 5R will not for me. I will keep the 5N for at least 1-2years. 6 is the best choice but I can wait at this moment.

Full manual flash non TTL
Strong Guide no. 58 with low price.
Strong optical sensor work in outdoor with S1/s2 mode
Manual Multi Flash strobist function
Can use external power pack
Fast recharging
Supporting high speed continuous shooting:Under the ouput level of 1/8 or below

Almost like those expensive Original flash minus the TTL function.

You need get the model for Sony hot shoe mount to work with NEX7.
