Body and 15-55mm from Taipei. NTD39,990 and NTD9,880. Respectively. Converted to RM = RM5,088. Tax refunded at the airport 5%, becomes RM4,834. The Carl Zeiss 24mm got from Zaloon for RM3,250. RRP for that 24mm is RM3,799.

I dot have a NEX5/5N to compare. All I know that I moved from E-P1 and GH1 and the NEX7 shits on them both, wipes the floor with it!So much so that I'm putting these two cameras and lenses for sale.

Again, I've just got to play with this since I got back from Taipei yesterday. Still learning. And I don't have the NEX5/5N, I can't compare the two.

Yeah I know it's expensive compare to Octopus X10 ~ RM50 nia..Well, this is called impulsive buying..beh tahan liao and that day that shop selling Octopus at Millenium Square closed..and I kenot stand so I check out the fames LYN seller in Digital Mall Sec14...As he is reputable and telling me ilens is similar to kenko & Hoya & from Korea..so I trusted him lor.. sad.gif ..furthermore X10 for what I paid for a X4..I think berbaloi lor haha.. ANyway happy wth the result..weekend gonna spam more macro pictures.. now testing wth my buddy SEL16F28.. Well, I think still prefer the zoom lens pairing wth maro filters..Dun really like the pancake.  sad.gif

BTW, what cincai filter you used to compare wth a better filter  hmm.gif ..I also saw the thread created by IeR on filter and he compare B&W wth Hoya if I'm not mistaken..Even that also got diff liao haha

Copy pasta from one old post. A test/comparison between several brands of UV filters including B+W, Hoya, Heliopan, Marumi, Kenko, Cokin, etc.

http://www.lenstip.com/120.1-article-UV_fi...troduction.html
And to make proper comparisons, you must maintain the position as even slight angle change can alter the results, not accurate.

Oh, the "cincai" filter is a Singapore brand, can't remember the name but iianm it's RM10 cheaper than iLens when I bought it. Collecting dust atm, only attach when I go places with seawater... Seawater very bad laugh.gif

I have the pancake, but seldom use bacause prefer the flexibility of zoom.

In theory,if you squeeze most pixels out of the same sensor, you'll generally end up with more noise compared to the one with lesser megapixels hmm.gif

The Oly is a mess in high ISOs, so does the Pana, Crank up the ISO and watch the image crawl. I'd say on both cameras, it's usable up to ISO800. 1600 is pushing it, Pana can manage it but the Oly will be hunting nonstop. Broad daylight, the Oly trounces the Pana when it comes to color reproduction, but the Pana takes excellent 1080p24 video with its stock kit lens, even at night. Pana ekes out slightly better battery life, compared to the Oly, but only just slightly. I'd reckon the Sony gets better battery endurance than both of them.

With the NEX7, I can have Oly's punchy color reproduction and Pana's excellent low light video recording. Best of both world. Hence the sale of both cameras.

Not always 100% cheaper but sometimes overseas, you can somewhat get a better offer compared to what you are getting here, without the warranty, of course.

Seen some better offers for some camera in overseas than the local price here, anyways.

NEX 7 buyers won't e bothered by the price too much. They had after all waited for this gem since November last year and when a shop has ready stock in front of you it's hardto resist.

Yum. Nex7. Still pinning my hopes on the "supposedly" FF Nex9 due mid year though. Might get a 7 if that turns out to be another Sony crapalooza; the built in EVF on the 7 looks absolutely yummy.

Nex + FF + peeking + all the manual lenses the world has ever made = bliss. If Sony doesn't screw it upla (which, in regards to the Nex series, they haven't so far. Except for the crappy E-mount lens lineup).

*goes back to lurking mode"

I've got mine with the 18-55 silver lens too. Gonna sell it for the black lens once it is made available. Using the 24mm for the time being. Delicious bokeh!
