Love that its black in color and size does not add too much bulk. Can totally see myself using this as my general use lens. Can consider selling my kit lens after getting this lens
Hopefully the price comes down soon, and the problem mentioned by nlik dissappeared.
According to users, the Tamron produces blurry pics when used in NEX-5N's panorama mode and that a possible cause is its vibration compensation system (something about reporting itself as SEL18200 thus the NEX uses a setting which is suitable with SEL18200's OSS but not with Tamron's VC) Then again, there are some who said on NEX-5 it works flawlessly.

any good indoor location for photography?? free and around selangor area?? my sickness makes me cant stand the hot sun... and weather lately is really bad...
NEx-5n require Mount Adaptor to use SEL18200 lens?
SEL No need. SAL , SAM, SSM need.
On another note, i am having this crazy idea where the lens elements are not made of glass. But instead, made from some high clarity plastics or polymer. The difference is that the plastic/polymer will be made pliable and flexible. As you turn the zoom ring, the plastic/polymer will change shape from concave to convex allowing dynamic control of distortions and optical properties.

Already in use. This technology is successfully used for speticles in the third world in mobile clinic. Not used for camera lens yet.
