Wanna share a few pics I took not long ago with my 5N. The sharpness and colours (hard to judge if your monitor is TN-panel) on this thing is just simply awesome, really happy with the purchase. By the way, please add my name in the 5N user list, thanks!

My wish atm would be to buy an EVF, if only the price wasn't so insanely high Kinda hard to view the LCD under broad daylight, sometimes have to agak-agak take shots.

Congratulations! Getting mine from Taipei tomorrow. Either with the silver 18-55mm or CZ 24mm lens.

Question to the pros here. Would OSS matter? CZ lens doesn't have OSS, would it make any difference when t comes to the Carl Zeiss 24mm f1.8 lens?

Hmnnn likedat abit got cheated liao lor...bcos the salesperson told me that hoya Hi index multi-coated UV also reduced lens flare wor..accordingly, those standard without coating probably induce flare ...darn...Anyway, Today I got another Hoya macro +4 filter haha..still lotsa things to perfect the picture takingh.. I failed taking macro wth 18-55mm..kenot focus at all..and thus straight away go back to get the macro filter..  

Only then, found out I need to deactivate the autofocus to get the best macro shot using this limited 18-55...Still looking for cheaper F1.8 lens...

BTW, this were the closest in-focus -auto mode I can get without macro filter on 18-55 this Morning..That time I dunno how to deactivate the auto-focus 


I think need a good protrait len dy  not 16mm-2.8 but 50mm-1.8    ..Too bad NEX dun hv this 

Is it really cheap over there compare to M'sia? When I was there, I dun find their electronics to be cheap except their food haha. furthermore, how about the waranty? covering International or just Taiwan...unless you're like string fellow a frequent Taiwan travellers

i wonder why our Sony Malaysia's price has such a great difference compare to the US.
the normal Nex kit is about the same, even cheaper than US but when it comes to lenses and Nex-7, we have to pay so much more
I had it and ordered the SEL50f18 from US instead. Even after paying for UPS shipping, its still going to be cheaper than local stores 

Anyone has experienced sending their NEX to Sony center for sensor cleaning??  How was it, and do they charge us for it?

Shaking hand mah at this max F5.6 _ macro haha..furthermore the focusing area getting super narrow at this max zoom range. If using Raynox, the focusing area slightly bigger and more area to focus.. Yeah you can see the tail part abit out of focus fo sure and if you DL & zoom-in further, you can see the yellowish lines. Raynox- no yellow-yellow wan haha...hand gatal abit wanna get a raynox liao but dunno how to sell these overpriced maro filters..

tnx for the tip..but normally I set everything to auto except to the macro scn mode haha..should I go for M mode?

It's just amazing that >30yrs old lens can do such a great job that I don't think the newest, expensive NEX lenses can do well..haha..my 2sen
