The are people in forums who claim the 16mm is in shortage atm (while those with stock are charging higher prices), which might explain the lack of stock for 5ND package. 16mm is wide angle, but really not that much wider

To N7 users, where did you guys bought your N7? I am considering either buy a EVF for my 5N or just upgrade to N7.
Add some more question. If I buy a N7 USA set from Ebay/Amazon, basically the warranty gone case when I go back to Malaysia, is that correct? To N7 current users, you guys are not afraid of one day the camera stop working? Is the battery charger of US set universal?

For 16MM F2.8, you could either add a fisheye converter or an ultra wide converter.

The cable that come with my charger is 2 round pin plug.

Some short review on SEL50F18 performance in low light. One word: Slow.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Last night I used it as my primary lens on my NEX 7 for company bowling event. Lighting condition not really bad as I can shoot comfortably using 1/100 at F2.8 with autoISO (A mode) if focus lock.
Lens considered bright F1.8 but useless if cant lock focus in the first place. It hunt a lot even when stepped down to F3.5 or more. Even kitlens can lock faster lol. Normally I shoot with DMF but in this case, it's useless since MF wont work unless you locked focus. Using MF a no-go too as people keep moving around qucikly. Stepping down to F4.5 helped with wider focus plane but drag my shutter speed or hit my ISO. AND whats the different shooting with kitlens at 50mm? LOL

QUOTE(Dreamworks @ Apr 11 2012, 10:19 PM) Maybe because 50mm the subject will be bigger than say 30mm? I'm no optical engineer so I have no idea. Or is the reviewer talking about the same lens but at different focal length? f3.5 too slow for my liking, f2.8 is same with 30mm Sigma E-mount f2 should be good enough, but the UC Hexanon you mentioned sounds perfect... 28mm (right focal length) and f1.8 (decent speed). I guess the same basic rule applies here: you get what you paid for and good things don't come cheap I have found a discussion comparing a 50mm F1.4 Vs 28mm F1.4...good reading haha http://www.flickr.com/groups/664291@N24/di...57615351927296/

50mm is not slow, its bacause ppl thinks its a low light lens, they go tested it on low light situation, but pls don't forget, nex is a contrast detect, it requires contrast and light to lock. Used it daytime for portrait, its fast.

I think overheating during video mode is pretty common in NEX. I got this on my 5N after 15min of shooting. I heard lifting the screen can help reduce it.

I have heard from a NEX owner, which he said not to shoot video on NEX more than 15 mins, because it will damage the sensor. It's not mean to shoot video but still picture.
