QUOTE(nlik @ Apr 14 2012, 10:36 PM) my opinion is, if you require low light or long zoom (let's say 70mm to 300++mm) then LA-EA2 would serve a good purpose as Steady Shot (IS) would be available. Or maybe you require the EXIF data. bro, I don't think LA-EA2 has built-in stabilizer. the reason of getting it on your nex is for the phase detection auto focus( faster and more accurate), lens correction database( stored up to 30 lens), af on non motorized lens, aperture control, accurate exif, more af points, and most importantly to re-use your a-mount lenses. (More AF lens choices for NEX) Those manual lenses like 16mm to maybe 50mm (i'm just roughly estimating here) may not require steady shot that much. Especially if it is a fast 1.8 lens which enables higher shutter speeds to compensate for camera shake. for stabilizer, you can choose lenses like sigma os hsm lenses which provides stabilizing feature when adapted to NEX. Added on April 15, 2012, 12:19 am QUOTE(zombie @ Apr 14 2012, 05:03 PM) this is for shooting under the sun. I was once tried to use my nex to macro some bugs near my house. regardless of what I do( actually was hoping to tried out the power of nex peaking mode), I just can't be sure simply because I can't see my LCD clearly under the sun.Added on April 15, 2012, 12:34 am QUOTE(stimix @ Apr 14 2012, 10:43 PM) PC fair gals... NEX %N with Minolta 50mm F1.4...abit of failure bcos most of the target abit out of focus.. something wrong somewhere? Is it no flash? if you're shooting wide open@ f/1.4, the dof is shallow and easily to mis-focus your subject. with flash in low light would help. with more light you don't need to rely on f/1.4, hence increase the dof or chance to get sharper shots. This post has been edited by cjlai: Apr 15 2012, 12:34 AM |

The dealer is offering me RM1,040 but through COD. Do you think it's worth to get it, or should I just spend MUCH MUCH less and go with the oldie Minolta MD 50mm f/1.7? it depends on how u use it.... if u oredi tired to MF with ur MD lens.... then u can consider getting the e-mountCheers! QUOTE(tph84 @ Apr 19 2012, 12:38 AM) I am not sure if this is slow, but do you guys try to use the camera without the lens properly attached to the camera? this is the same as adding macro extension tube to ur camera.... it basically increase the distance between ur lens and ur sensor to get the macro effects.... I just found out that if the 16mm pancake lens being detached from the camera and alight in between the object and camera, it can focus on very near object and the result is quite nice (at least to me) compare to the normal setup. Some sample output here: http://jdx7071.blogspot.com/2012/04/nex-5-...ject-using.html Please comment. just tat using the macro tube u won get light coming in fr side QUOTE(LinaLHY @ Apr 19 2012, 12:47 AM) I'm thinking that when he's holding the lens that way (lens senget), only the pins are in contact with the body? basically its like an 'invisible' extension tube lor. holding senget will gif the tilt shift effects Added on April 20, 2012, 3:25 am QUOTE(stimix @ Apr 19 2012, 09:23 AM) Interesting but I think the macro shot using this method from what I see from your pictures are not clear. probably insufficient lighthing. tat's bcos wen shooting macro the DOF bcome shallower and he can only shoot @ wide open f/2.8.... somemore the lens and camera distance is not fixed.... hands movedAdded on April 20, 2012, 3:28 am QUOTE(andx517 @ Apr 19 2012, 10:26 PM) From what i ask Fotokem @ Mid valley last month, they had no stock that moment but they mention stock may arrive on April, they do sell sel 50mm f1.8 which is RM1250. for tat price u can almost get the rokker 58/1.2.... or at least a 50/1.2This post has been edited by cjlai: Apr 20 2012, 03:32 AM |
