Guys , I'll probably need some help here. If we can get this working it means that its possible to use Broadcom BCM53xx switches (i.e WRT54GL) to work with Unifi. One guy did manage to get it to work but however he is using mikrotik router and uses his WRT54GL just for his IPTV purposes.

http://wingloon.com/2012/01/22/how-to-setu...54gs-v4-dd-wrt/

and

http://freqoflife.com/technology/linksys-w...l-vlan-tagging/

So i decided to embark on the journey and test it out (to get WAN working at least) but I cant establish a PPPoE connection.

Probably , I would need rizvan's help on this

CODE

rmmod switch-robo  # unload default
insmod /jffs/switch-robo.o  #load the new thing
sleep 10 #wait a while
echo "" > /proc/switch/eth0/vlan/1/ports  # remove our crap
echo "4t 5" > /proc/switch/eth0/vlan/500/ports # obtain from N12 nvram
vconfig add eth0 500
ifconfig eth0.500 up
nvram set wan_ifname=eth0.500
startservice wan

maybe tht 088 is not TM fix line??
coz it stated there is free call to TM fix line..
*
Maybe. Check with your friend. I haven't made calls to 088 before but if the number is provided by TM then it should be free. Did you call TM to clarify? Or maybe East Malaysia not included in the free plan?

There is no point changing the BTU... TM provided one is very stable only need to make sure it's kept in a well ventilated area...

Zero entry fee, means I do not have to pay a single cents until my line is activated? first payment would be the monthly charge right? The streamyx line will be auto terminated or I have to do it myself?
*
Don't trust them to auto terminate. Mine were still active two weeks after Unifi installation and I've to visit TMPoint to terminate. I took them another week to actually terminate it and I've to pay 3 weeks of subscription for nothing mad.gif

Just ignore the 3 weeks of subscription payment. they will balance it up in ur pink bill.

Hi, is anyone experiencing any issues with UniFi in the Bandar Sri Damansara area? I haven't been able to connect to the Internet or use my phone (engaged tone) since last night. Strangely, IPTV is working though.

The "AUTH" and "LINK" lights on my Huawei BTU are on and stable, but the VoIP light is off. Called the UniFi helpline and apparently there isn't any fault at their side. huh.gif

hi guys, I'm wondering if anyone here can help me understand the billing system for Unifi?

I recently got my Unifi installed on the first week of Feb, 2012. I received my bill a week back with the amount of RM216.80 with payment due March 17th.

Is this price like prorated for Feb and full for month of March?
