The IPTV ports are just for IPTV data. User ID & password is when you turn on the STB for the 1st time it will ask you to key in. Didn't search for STB "reset"

neway, yes you can run both or more IPTV at the same time. However 1 user ID is only valid per IPTV Box.

Do they enforce the 1 session per userid for the iptv? I can get hold of a spare STB. I think I will give it a try next week. I wonder what's the data rate cap for IPTV. Running 2 sessions might be problem for HD channels. LuxHD uses about 8.5mbps. The highest data rate is channel 100, I've seen it as high as 9.5mbps. I don't have any other HD channels. :-(

Guys, isn't Unifi free for calling all TM Fixed line nationwide? Let say I am calling back to KK, Sabah, 088.

In MyUnifi, I got RM0.56 for voice. and I didn't even call mobile number before.

VLAN cap profile for 600 on is 10mbps by default. 2x SD channels at the same time should be fine, and yeah there is username to STB MAC chaining at the HTTP authentication level for the STB.

Thanks for the info. So it should work if I have two logins. I'll try it later. My uncle has an STB that he doesn't use.

Are 088 all TM Fixed Line? Because for 03, it can also be Maxis or Time Telekom. For these, one will be charged. Not to mentioned that calls to 100 are charged too. I think?

Hmmm again my 20mbps has been capped at 5mbps, and I just came back from a 2 week holiday. Unifi is too much, this happened in january too.
*
I think the capping is done in 2 places, at the BTU and at their servers, when you log in. Maybe someone at TM accidentally changed the cap on the BTU. Have you called TM? How long did it take them to fix it the last time it happened?

i'm trying to setup my IPTV using the following items:

1) RT-N16 running on 3.0.0.3.84 (and also 3.0.0.3.102) FW from Asus
2) 2 x Aztech 500mbps Homeplug

The setup:
RT-N16---->Homeplug A---->Homeplug B---->IPTV

Settings:
1) STB port is LAN4 (regardless of FW used since already set by default.)
2) "Enable multicast routing" is ON
3) Connection between both Homeplugs are working. All 3 LED lights are green. Internet is working when i use my laptop via ethernet connected to homeplug.

Conclusion:
IT'S STILL NOT WORKING!!! IPTV can't connect to server.

P/S: IPTV worked the first time when TM guys came to setup my Unifi. but now modem + router is in another room, away from the tv.

klseet did advice to downgrade to .84 firmware or even .74 (didn't try it yet). but it still doesn't work.

Any advice??

cheers. smile.gif

i think its very depends on "luck"? just next door neighbour, same style of house2-1/2 storey, his signal weak at 1st & and floor. but my house, my signal on 2nd floor also still full speed, d/l up to 580kp/s. we bothe din do any tweak after the installation. maybe his installer did something wrong?
*
I think probably "Feng Shui" is causing it. Probably Master Yap Cheng Hai ask him to put an aquarium somewhere in the path of the radio signals. Aquariums = WiFi router worse nightmare.

But seriously, my neighbor's DIR-615 located in the downstair's back room of the his house performs pretty well. Signals reaches up to the front gate. Only place in my house where I can't get his signal is in my master bedroom toilet.

Did you get the STB working with the Asus router before? Just to confirm it's not the STB, can you bring just the STB and connect it direct to your router? If it's working, it should show a channel number. If not, I think it shows "INIT" or something else.

OK, at least we've taken the Homeplugs out of the loop. I think once you solve the problem with the Asus, you'd be good to go.

Zero entry fee, means I do not have to pay a single cents until my line is activated? first payment would be the monthly charge right? The streamyx line will be auto terminated or I have to do it myself?
