This is the bluetooth feature but I was told by a SA that it cannot be used in malaysia.

Polo gti is less sturdy and stable compare to golf. And i doubt u will be getting ur car any time soon. Mine is stuck at port now due to custom re evaluating the price.

You would need to install the bluetooth option. There are a few outside installers who will install the original VW bluetooth unit and you would be able to have that feature. I have personally seen a number of VW cars (e.g. Golf, Scirocco, etc..) have the bluetooth unit installed and functioning perfectly. No splicing of cables or wires, all original parts.

Added on June 14, 2012, 11:35 pmHi Would all the Polo Gti owners be able to help me in telling me how it drives/handles? Does the steering shake at higher speeds etc? I should be getting my car in a few weeks but due to their not being a test drive unit I don't really know how it drives, I tested both the polo and golf and found the polo a lil shaky but the golf nice and sturdy. I'm just a lil unsure now especially due to the price going up, I'm wonndering wether the car is still worth it?

The best installer that I have seen hails from Singapore. Very professional and very experienced in VW cars.
http://jimmy-cbx.blogspot.com/

He does come to Malaysia quite often as he installed all the cars I have seen during the VW teh tarik sessions. His contact details are all there, best to whatsapp him to see when is his schedule and whether he has stock. He usually fixes the cars in Gardens/Midvalley.

im doing group buy

Hello Mac.tay, I got a golf tsi. What's the damage and which 3M tint are you getting? Heard that V-Kool has better heat rejection. Any reason you're choosing 3M?

Thanks for asking.

I've had Llumar on my Golf TSi and no issues with Smart Tag

My Skoda, I did 3M Crystalline 70 for front and 50 for the rear. Smart Tag occasionally have problems so the installers made a 7" black border on the top which is Smart Tag friendly. I chose 3M because it offers the best cost vs effect. In terms of heat rejection, it is possible that VKool's highest grade is better but price-wise it's going to set you back more than RM2k. The deal I got for 3M front/rear and Llumar for sides is less than RM2k

its a general question but might as well i ask it here. as i have previously stated, im planning to spray my GTi white. just came back from the shop and was quoted RM2600. will be sending it over on next friday but before that, all i need to know is, is it compulsory for me to re-register my colour with JPJ? i won't be doing a full spray, as in not dismounting the parts in the engine bay. advice? thanks in advance.

*full body white and black on the roof.

Officially, you need to inform JPJ & Insurance.

Hi Mac.tay, thanks for explaining. I'm only getting my car today around 11+am. Hope it's not too late for me. PM-ed you.
Thank you kenso for your input too.

_____________________________________________________________________

Just did a little bit of research...Just to share.

3M CRYSTALLINE 70

Visible Light Transmittance : 70%
Ultra Violet Rejection : 99.9%
Infrared Rejection : 97%

Vs.

V-KOOL ELITE (VLT=73.2% UVR=98% IRR=94%)

And comparing tinting with security feature...

3M ULTRA PRESTIGE S70 (6 MIL)

Visible Light Transmittance : 65%
Ultra Violet Rejection : 99.9%
Infrared Rejection : 97%

vs

V-Kool Impeccable Series
Ray Barrier (VLT=63% UVR=99% IRR=95%)

I'm leaning towards the 3M Ultra Prestige S70 (6mil). Is 65% VLT JPJ-compliant? Thank you Mac.tay for pointing out that 3M actually has the highest IRR and is better with GPS/smart tag. Now it seems like a no-brainier to me. I can give up that marginal heat rejection from V-Kool for all the extras from 3M. Any Reviews or comments? I'm gonna be fetching the missus and the baby during weekends, so the extra security does give me peace of mind. Unless somebody has had/heard bad experience...In that case, please share. Thanks guys.

Next is to consider the LED tail light and RCD510 before moving on to doing Sierra Glow...

Passat CC 2012 is the real model that is replacing current Passat CC. Google for it of check paultan.org for the pic, it's closer design to current Passat CC. This VW CC is therefore a stand alone model between standard passat and passat CC
